If we can somehow offload Xisco he'd be a good replacement. They'd be on similar wages and there's always the possibility that he might be good at some point. Saying that, if Ireland actually gets on the pitch then it's got to be considered an improvement.

Would Man Utd have been better off going for N'Zogbia instead of Young? He'd cost half as much and be on half the wages and is (imo) probably as good. The only real thing I can think of which swings it in Young's favour is that he's English. Same goes for the Downing/Liverpool speculation.
