Really seems like the complete opposite of what ASM offered. Could easily see him getting 10+ goals this season
  2. Those surfer flags are really a sight to behold when sitting in level 7. Coming from nothing like they’ve been released from someone’s pocket to covering a few hundred fans and then travelling across a whole stand only to disappear so quickly. Hats off to everyone involved, they do an incredible job and deserve every plaudit they receive. Don’t think there’s another club in the country who do it the way wor flags do.
  3. Nobody is going to replace a player as good as Salah with somebody who has the same goals/assists though. That’s impossible. I doubt anyone at Liverpool even expected Salah to be as good as he’s been when they signed him. Szo has a good 5 years before he hits his prime and no doubt will come good for them. Don’t really see the point in pretending that he’s going to be no good. Seems like we’ve missed out on a decent prospect, whether that be because we didn’t think he was worth it or we couldn’t afford it. No doubt we’ll simply move on to our next target because that’s the professional outfit we seem to be but this one will definitely sting if he turns out to be as good as many on here think he will be As others have said we moved from Diego Carlos to Botman and seemingly from other cm targets to Tonali, so it’s hard not to have faith in the recruitment team that is operating at the minute but ultimately everything boils down to what we can afford through ppv and club income so everything helps
  4. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of our Kuol/Minteh level signings are made with this in mind. Players coming in and leaving for a profit having never started a first team game. Not necessarily those 2 but signings of that level who are only meant to be loaned out then sold on at a profit.
  5. It’s not what you think they’re worth though. It’s what you would accept for them. I don’t think Joelinton is worth 80 million but you’d have to get pretty close to that to get me to sell. We’re going in a fuck off position if we don’t want to sell and think we should take advantage of that as much as we can
  6. Anyone who even thinks about being upset about the result just needs to picture how man united fans are feeling and I guarantee it brings a smile to their face
  7. Weirdly, they’re the one club in the “top 6” that I don’t hate. Even before our takeover, I just don’t care about them enough to hate them. I’d happily watch football crash and burn before watching the rest of them win anything but city really don’t bother me.
  8. Basically a £50 million Lascelles
  9. Great athlete. Terrible footballer

Hopefully he can improve his fitness in pre season. Don’t have that many issues around his talent (even if he was a bit overpriced because of his nationality) but him blowing out his arse after playing for 20 minutes is a bit worrying. Hopefully just due to mismanagement from his time under Lampard, but certainly something he needs to improve on
  11. Clearly a lie. Nobody uses hair gel in 2023
  12. Also another team that are going to take points off all the teams we’re competing with. I think more competition is good for us but will basically leave us with two divisions in the premier league. 8-10 teams competing for Europe and everyone else just trying not to get relegated
  13. It was way more fun when you were giving these players to Gerrard to manage though
  14. I’m not outraged and seemingly he isn’t actually doing anything wrong but it just doesn’t really sit right with me and I’m not sure the club should allow it when demand is so high. I suppose it depends on who is actually going to the games. If it’s generally the same people going all the time then it doesn’t really matter but I do think it’s a problem if people who never go away end up getting tickets to big away games while others who go to every game they can get tickets for miss out because they can’t accumulate enough points to get to the bigger games. Don’t really blame him though. I’d probably do the same so me and my mates could go to away games and cup finals etc. if I was in a position to.
  15. By doing this though aren’t they just taking tickets away from fellow fans who would have enough loyalty points to get tickets if others weren’t buying loads to sell to their mates?
  16. Is there anything that wor flags don’t get absolutely spot on? Greatest group ever associated with the club in my life time and not even close. Everything from stepping away when Rafa left to coming back with the big river quote at the first game after the takeover and everything that’s happened since they really are incredible and deserve every plaudit they get
  17. They’ve only conceded 15 all season, which is crazy. Gone under the radar how good defensively they’ve been this season. Probably because everyone can’t stop talking about levers.
  18. while I agree that once upon a time someone having a season ticket indicated an increased level of commitment to the club that just clearly isn’t the case anymore. What’s the difference between someone who has a season ticket and someone who has bought a ticket for every game this season through the members/general sale? As we go forward it seems that being a season ticket holder comes down to not much more than luck of having one before the takeover or getting one of the few that went on sale after it. Personally I don’t think it’s a good idea that getting tickets to away matches and cup finals becomes a closed shop because it just encourages people to keep ahold of season tickets when they don’t really want them. I don’t think there’s a simple solution to this because there’s clearly more demand for tickets than there is supply but I think the club needs to come up with something so that attending our matches doesn’t become a closed shop with the same people going all the time.
  19. Well I suppose that’s the great thing about being completely exposed in a game. It really lets you know where your weaknesses are
  20. You mean that planning a pre season trip to America when your squad is laden with criminals isn’t a good idea?
  21. Yeah I think that’s the bit that is a little bit sickening. Feels like the first quarter of a step to just playing premier league games over there or wherever the brand needs building
  22. I understand why our American fans would like this but hearing about a premier league summer series in America made me be sick in my mouth a little bit. Probably no worse than any other complaint about modern football I suppose though
  23. The best thing they can basically hope for though is that just not being Brendan Rodgers is enough to have a turnaround though. Imagine being a club that was linked with Smith and Rodgers and your owners chose Smith, you’d almost certainly be questioning how sane the people making that choice were. I suppose it depends how toxic things were behind the scenes with Brendan but if I supported Leicester I wouldn’t have much hope of playing premier league football next season
  24. Like with most players of clubs like that it’s hard to see us matching the wages he’d more than likely want
  25. I can’t complain at that. Football in this country is rotten to the core. We’re part of the club now though and are going to reap the awards of everything that is wrong so fuck it, might as well just enjoy the ride.
