It was way more fun when you were giving these players to Gerrard to manage though

I’m not outraged and seemingly he isn’t actually doing anything wrong but it just doesn’t really sit right with me and I’m not sure the club should allow it when demand is so high. I suppose it depends on who is actually going to the games. If it’s generally the same people going all the time then it doesn’t really matter but I do think it’s a problem if people who never go away end up getting tickets to big away games while others who go to every game they can get tickets for miss out because they can’t accumulate enough points to get to the bigger games. Don’t really blame him though. I’d probably do the same so me and my mates could go to away games and cup finals etc. if I was in a position to.
-
By doing this though aren’t they just taking tickets away from fellow fans who would have enough loyalty points to get tickets if others weren’t buying loads to sell to their mates?

Is there anything that wor flags don’t get absolutely spot on? Greatest group ever associated with the club in my life time and not even close. Everything from stepping away when Rafa left to coming back with the big river quote at the first game after the takeover and everything that’s happened since they really are incredible and deserve every plaudit they get

They’ve only conceded 15 all season, which is crazy. Gone under the radar how good defensively they’ve been this season. Probably because everyone can’t stop talking about levers.

while I agree that once upon a time someone having a season ticket indicated an increased level of commitment to the club that just clearly isn’t the case anymore. What’s the difference between someone who has a season ticket and someone who has bought a ticket for every game this season through the members/general sale? As we go forward it seems that being a season ticket holder comes down to not much more than luck of having one before the takeover or getting one of the few that went on sale after it. Personally I don’t think it’s a good idea that getting tickets to away matches and cup finals becomes a closed shop because it just encourages people to keep ahold of season tickets when they don’t really want them. I don’t think there’s a simple solution to this because there’s clearly more demand for tickets than there is supply but I think the club needs to come up with something so that attending our matches doesn’t become a closed shop with the same people going all the time.

Well I suppose that’s the great thing about being completely exposed in a game. It really lets you know where your weaknesses are

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

You mean that planning a pre season trip to America when your squad is laden with criminals isn’t a good idea? -

Yeah I think that’s the bit that is a little bit sickening. Feels like the first quarter of a step to just playing premier league games over there or wherever the brand needs building -

I understand why our American fans would like this but hearing about a premier league summer series in America made me be sick in my mouth a little bit. Probably no worse than any other complaint about modern football I suppose though -
The best thing they can basically hope for though is that just not being Brendan Rodgers is enough to have a turnaround though. Imagine being a club that was linked with Smith and Rodgers and your owners chose Smith, you’d almost certainly be questioning how sane the people making that choice were. I suppose it depends how toxic things were behind the scenes with Brendan but if I supported Leicester I wouldn’t have much hope of playing premier league football next season

Like with most players of clubs like that it’s hard to see us matching the wages he’d more than likely want
-
I can’t complain at that. Football in this country is rotten to the core. We’re part of the club now though and are going to reap the awards of everything that is wrong so fuck it, might as well just enjoy the ride.

Those options are mutually exclusive atm unfortunately

Absolutely no excuse not to allow tv viewers to hear what var officials are saying to the referee. I remember our game earlier this season when the referee covered his mouth while talking to a Villa player and didn’t understand how an official could have something to say to a player that he felt wouldn’t be acceptable to be picked up by a tv camera.
-
Absolutely the right thing to do but I can’t deny I was screaming at my tv for an answer for why our £60 million striker couldn’t take a penalty when it really mattered
-
Pretty clear that Rafa wanted to replace him 5 or so years ago and no doubt in my mind that he was right. Not all shelveys fault but obvious he’s just not a player capable of being part of a team to get us where we want to go. Same as players like gayle and Ritchie, obviously they’re going to want to stay because they know they’ll never play for a club like this again but the they should really have been let go a few years ago
-
Kind of an underrated thing but I love seeing Gordon there today and Joelinton there last week absolutely buzzing to win even if they’re not involved. Really shows the culture that Eddie is creating throughout the club
-
I never took to him personally the way others did and thought he was as disappointing throughout his time here as he was impressive. For every 2 month high he had there was 6 months of disappointment either side imo but Tbf there was some very high highs for where we were at the time. His championship season, playing next to Diame under Rafa and a couple of months under Howe were impressive but his time outside of that left a sour taste in my mouth personally. Maybe I’m just being harsh after having high expectations when we signed him.
-
While getting £60,000 a week plus. Not that he doesn’t deserve a decent reception but let’s not pretend like he was here out of charity. We were paying him a wage that no one else would and now he’s playing for forest for the same reason. I don’t dislike him for it but it doesn’t make him worthy of legend status either.
-
That’s the exact thing I was looking forward to after bringing Ashworth in. It doesn’t necessarily take 40 Million to bring in a player capable of playing in the first team
-
I think I’ve done everything to wipe it from my memory. The nightmares were just too much
-
As someone young enough to only remember us playing in one final I don’t think there’s a competition we could enter that I wouldn’t consider a major trophy

Would rather stay well away from celebrating the ownership at all personally
