  1. His passing was poor. But it’s worth pointing out he’s one of our only players who even attempts through balls. Which is what most of the ‘bad’ passes were. What’s the average success rate for those? Very low I would have thought. Less than 30-40%? He seemed to be forcing it a bit and massively telegraphing it all the while, though. Which meant Lewis Potter or Pinnock just picked them off. He was also back to hanging onto it a bit too long. So the window to pass it had gone. Meaning our player was offside or the defender had closed off the space. I don’t think he was “dogshit” or “rotten” however. That seems hyperbolic in the extreme.
  2. Seemed like he could have given them another couple of pens. So no complaints from me.

    Dan Burn

Not sure he was better than Trippier, Joelinton or Tino, personally. But the biggest compliment you can give him. Is that apart from his booming headers. You barely noticed him. That’s usually a good thing for a centre back.
  4. He came alive in and around the box. But it’s almost sad to see centre backs just jog past him and the other team just play piggy in the middle with him. His legs really have gone. He was a lot better when it opened up at 2-1. The first 5-10 he looked miles off it.
  5. Salah doing naff all for a lot of the game is nothing new. He’s like it a lot of weeks. Then pops up with a goal and an assist and gets MOTM You could say it about any player based on one game, of course. Which is why I mentioned it. Also. My opinion on him isn’t entirely based on tonight. I have seen him play before. I also agree with Whitley Mag. But considering we keep getting linked with him and Brentford aren’t on the box much. I paid more attention to him tonight.
  6. Can Hall play right back? Seriously though. He looks much more comfortable on the ball and with his defending at left back. He is more useful going forward that side as well. I think he was MOTM until the last 5-10 minutes. I think he switched off a couple of times and they nearly punished us. I’m being harsh, mind he was still top quality.
  7. I don’t think he’s a bad player. Far from it. Also, I know it’s only one game. But based on tonight. I wouldn’t go near Mbuemo for what he will cost. His passing and movement are good and we know he’s a quality finisher. But seemed like Tino got the better of him 9/10 times. Which isn’t a huge surprise. As we know how good Tino is 1v1. But he seemed to just give up on it most the while. Nothing really massively stands out in his game a lot of the time. At least it didn’t tonight.

    Joelinton

Brilliant again. MOTM after Trippier I thought. Tino up there and all. Seems like his knee is giving him jip still. Isak coming off and Trippier looking like he had a niggle. Let’s hope they can all play through these knocks. As we certainly need them.
  9. Yep. Horrible to play against. When they get a chance. They’re really crisp and direct with their passing. A threat in behind. Yet they’re also a long ball set piece, long throw and corner loving team. So it feels a bit pick your poison at times. Let’s be honest. We should have been 2 or 3 up before Pope had his moment of madness for the pen. They weren’t exactly threatening before that.

    Harvey Barnes

Brilliant for an hour. Seems to really link up well with Tino and Joelinton. Totally nullified on the right. I get it was needs must tonight and Willock would always go left. But everything that makes him great is a strength coming off the left. But he can’t really use those attributes on the other side.
  11. Great win in the end. Rode our luck a bit. But then so did they. Just hope Isak and Trippier were precautionary. As Isak is irreplaceable and Trippier was MOTM. Tino brilliant again until added time. Big Joe was a colossus. That felt a bit like our 4th placed season. We had games like that where we were nowhere near our best. But we found a way to win.
  12. Shit! Did you see that?! He’s got a foot like a traction engine.
  13. Piss poor from Pope. They’ve offered fuck all. Although I have some sympathy with him. We’ve wasted no end of good openings up the other end. Then we get punished.
  14. Should have 3-4 considering how good he is. Can’t give him that many chances. He’ll bag eventually. Turned an average half into a very good one.
  15. Not been bad. Not been great. A bit sloppy and careless on the ball. Not made enough of the turnovers. Bruno is trying to make it happen TBF to him. But nowhere near accurate enough. Isak poor by his high standards. Not working for him on the ball and he should have scored. We need to get Barnes into the game more. A big goal threat, links up with Tino really well and he’s getting a lot of space. But we’re too slow or don’t have the ability to find him. Trippier has been class. EDIT. Isak did score
  16. Famous because of Chabuddy G. So fair play to them on that score. He is class.
  17. Not been looking at other fans forums. But generally the comments across the board have been overwhelmingly positive? From fans and pundits alike? Obviously not from the mackems and I know Boro fans are desperate to link it to their League Cup win and how everyone said it was tin pot, so it's double standards. But other than that. It's only really Jamie O'Hara and one other idiot, Agbonlahor, probably. Who were saying it's embarrassing. But they're a pair of whoppers and they work for Talksport. So it's to be expected.
  18. Yates is insufferable. Seems to get away with murder every week. I’m sure other fans all say the same about Big Joe. But there is more to his game than just being a hatchet man. Doesn’t have a punchable face either.
  19. Proper childish. But Forest fans chanting “Bruno Fernandes. You look like a rat.” Has absolutely done me
  20. I said a few times on here I liked the look of him. Then he went on a barren run and kept missing sitters he's back amongst the goals of late. I think Wolves have an agreement in place to make the loan permanent at the end of the season.
  21. Nah. You watched him much this season? Maybe I've just paid more attention as I know a fair few Ipswich fans and it's not too far from me. But not comparable to Ferguson at all IMO. He's a handful even when not scoring, fast, strong, not bad on the ball for a big fella. He's playing in a dreadful side. Yet regularly gives opposing CB's a hard time. Ferguson has also had injuries and was sort of unfortunate with Brighton rotating players in and out. As someone else pointed out, he never really kicked on like you would have expected.
  22. The absolute cheek of Yates complaining about a bad tackle, trying to get their player sent off
  23. Lively old start this. Proper end to end. Forest actually look a bit crap off the ball for once. Man U finding loads of space. But they always defend well and spring counters. So I expect it will be the typical Forest performance and win.
  24. Man U winning is better for us. But them losing is always brilliant. So it's win-win as far as I'm concerned.
