    Scott McTominay

Hopefully he stays for a while yet. He can upset one player every few weeks until he has to play a team of stiffs. Probably end up putting in better performances.
  2. Oh it’s been made by that TFinn lad off Twitter. The obsessed cunt who is desperate for a rivalry with us Was unfortunate enough to stumble upon his page yesterday. Mackem levels of shite on there about us. Just reams and reams of it. Strange bloke.
  3. We had no striker at Bournemouth. Bruno wasn’t playing and we are still yet to win a league game without him. The squad seemed even more stretched at the time and fatigue would have been even more of a factor after coming back from Germany midweek. Our away form has been patchy at best this season. With some mitigating circumstances and excuses. But I’m really not sure what relevance Bournemouth has to this game other than it being our last away league game? It won’t be the same players that show up tonight. The performance won’t be that bad, either. If it is, then we’re fucked. As we’d lose to basically everyone in the league playing like that
  4. That's far worse, mind I called him being a horrible little cunt and a bad signing from the get go. I almost wish I had social media back then so I could have it on record. On second thoughts, no I don't 16 year old me with a Twitter account. Good God no.
  5. This was what I was saying the other day to someone. When they were moaning about a particular female pundit/commentator. It seems too easy to single them out. When you can basically count on one hand the amount of decent male pundits we regularly see on the likes of Sky, BBC and BT/TNT.
  6. I am ashamed to say I once had a Barton shirt I was only 20-21. But still no excuse. What an absolute disgrace of a human being he is. Can't stand the cunt these days.
  7. Outside looking in. So might be wide of the mark. But has Mings not been a blessing in disguise to some extent? Torres has been superb now he’s settled and Carlos looked a beast last night. Always thought Mings could be a clown. Almost Bramble’esque in that he would look dominant and basically world class for 89 minutes. But then drop a right clanger somewhere along the line. Remember him being particularly terrible at SJP last season. More interested in trying to fight Wilson. Than actually defending.
  8. Suddenly a bit more pressure on our game tomorrow. Assuming these games finish like this.
  9. Yeah. Villa much better than them. Playing it about with ease. City struggling to get out their half. I’m sure they’ll do their usual and finish the season like a runaway freight train to win the league yet again. But they have not been the usual City the last 4-5 games.
  10. John McGinn with a shit attempt at the Steven Taylor free kick performance.
  11. Man U well on top in the battle of the under fire managers. Both overseeing clubs that have wasted a fortune and still seemingly have no clue what their strongest XI is.
  12. Chelsea look good on the counter. Bar the final shot/pass. Man U deservedly in front, though.
  13. Mudryk’s end product is abysmal.
  14. Still remember that game so fondly being there. Then travelling back home with an Everton supporting mate Tiote was monstrous on debut and it was HBA’s first start, I think? Both outrageously good.
  15. It does look like something out of The Thing or Resident Evil. Optical illusion with his shirt being torn I think..... hope

    Nick Pope

I always thought he was very proactive in the box, before his knee injury. Certainly looked a bit shaky when he came back, which is understandable. But it's been ages since the injury now and everyone else seems to have improved ten fold under Howe. So I'm just going to assume Dubs will be the same until I see differently.

    Nick Pope

I remember Burnley fans saying he does really well saving with his feet. Seen some fans complain about it this season and it is a bit unorthodox. But when you see Raya last night and Ederson against Son at the weekend. Where they don't get down quick enough and it goes through them, it makes sense considering he's such a lump and so tall. Anyway, I'm interested to see how Dubravka does. A brilliant keeper to have as your number 2 and no doubt he is better with his feet. So I'm not worried about him coming in and doing well between now and the end of the season. I certainly don't think we need to look at a keeper in January. As I'd say Karius is superior to most team's third choice. But I do think some people have easily forgotten how much better Pope is as an out and out keeper. Regularly makes really difficult saves look routine. It will be a good tester for the future to see if having a keeper that is so much better on the ball is worth the potential trade-off of losing those often point saving stops. Dubs was spraying it about at Old Trafford in the cup and you'd imagine the back 4 will have a lot more confidence using him as that extra man.
  18. Because it was the start of the season, a bigger club came on for him and there is an obligation to make it permanent, I believe? I suppose if there was an obligation, they might consider letting Ramsdale leave. But that would still leave them short with no solid keeper option for a title challenge and the CL for half a season. They flogged Turner to Forest. So not even sure who their 3rd choice is. Possibly reading too much into it. But I get the impression Arteta and Arsenal absolutely despise us and see us as a threat to the top 4 status quo. So I think they’d be even more reluctant if it were us trying to do such a deal.
  19. Why on earth would Arsenal let Ramsdale go out on loan in January?
  20. An Alan Johnson quote. Best thing you've ever posted
  21. I do kind of agree with the sentiment above and also really wouldn't want us to move. But The Emirates is a decent ground and the atmosphere has massively improved there recently. Spurs' new stadium is hardly a corporate bowl, either.
  22. I had a quick look and they only have 4 wins out of their last 12. 2 draws and 6 losses. That said, they are still in touch of the playoffs. Only 3 points off 6th and a better goal diff. It does seem a strange decision to sack him. As I'm not sure why they suddenly think they should be in and around the top 6 all the while. They've been shite for how long now? Outside looking in, it seems like Mowbray has done a decent job with what he's had to spend and the players he has. But there must be more to it than that. Perhaps they have been on a downwards spiral, performance wise for a while?

    Dan Burn

They have clipped it up and put it on the Football Daily podcast for anyone that wants to catch up. When you get past the Sheff U stuff. Burn and the journo bloke go into a bit of detail about the modern game changing. Loads of stuff people have touched on before. Spontaneity, individualism, maverick type of players being phased/coached out of the game. Now more about outrageously good ball players from a passing POV and teams with identity. But often lacking those instinctive, rogue type players. Bit of a tangent. But I’d love to hear more in depth insight on stuff like that. Perhaps from an ex-coach or player that has recently retired. So that they can be a bit more candid about what has changed and how youth set ups and coaching has evolved. For the good and the bad. Burn talks really well. Think he has got on the Monday Night Club a couple of times now and heard him on Talksport a few times. Perhaps he’s actively looking to get into media work after he hangs his boots up.

We'd have to totally change the way we play at the back if we were to get De Gea. He's always rooted to his line. Can't see it. Just seems like a lazy and obvious link.
