Arsenal The rat Havertz with a late winner. Sounds undeserved. Shock.
-
Musaila has been piss poor since coming on. So wasteful in good areas.
-
Game on. They’ve actually had loads of chances. Despite being all over the place in their own half.
-
Just checked the Arsenal score and stats. I was shocked to learn they’re involved in yet another shitfest, with barely any chances or anything of note to report.
-
RM have been woeful in midfield and defence. But could/should have had 2-3 goals.
-
Kimmich is a joy to watch. Like a metronome in there. Along with all the other midfielder cliches.
-
I actually feel sorry for him. Got raped again just before.
-
Get this RM left back off FFS. The man has a family

One thing I notice in games like this. Is the crispness of passing and the sure first touches even when the ball is fizzed in. Not even meaning it as a criticism. But the amount of passes at pace. Where if it was an NUFC player on the end of it. The ball would bounce off for a throw or they’d not even get a touch on it. Difference between very good players and the elite ones, I guess.

Fingers crossed they don’t.

He was barely involved first half. No real chances, was looking tidy enough when dropping deeper. That was it. First half chance he gets and he scores from 20 odd yards. He’s an insanely good finisher. But also an all round 9. Still criminally underrated by most in this country.

He has a similar sense of danger to my 2 year old near a road. TBF, that’s harsh on my lad. He has more awareness of what is going on around him.
-
They can’t keep getting away with it FFS the fix is in.

Olise has this bloke on toast. All I can think of is Pardew’s famous comments on MOTD, every time he leaves him for dead.
-
What a let off that was. Useless twat missing from there. Bayern all over them. So I’m sure a quick fire double on the counter is coming up soon.
-
Howay Bayern. Not another Real Madrid borefest where their deal with the devil gets them their 48th European title.
-
Absolutely fucking not. Would be a massive downgrade.
-
Thanks for everything, shagger. All the best.
-
I’ve seen enough. Pay £100m for him. NOW.

The 13 for Southampton was mint. Looked him up expecting to see that he was 21 and that someone in the Prem should be looking to sign such an unearthed gem. I was surprised to see he was 27 and he had played for half of the Bundesliga II teams.

Probably because it is still over a week away, we’ve had this break and we have played so much this season already. Along with a dismal week leading into the international break. But I’m not even remotely looking forward to this. Especially when our games at Selhurst Park are invariably dreadful to watch. Palace are a shite watch in general. I’m sure nearer the time I’ll get the buzz back. Especially if we have the likes of Miley and Bruno back in the squad.

I don’t mean to insult anyone here. But that seems incredibly bipolar?! Thinking we could challenge for the league (no chance IMO). To catastrophizing like that off the back of an interview?!

Well I want apple crumble now

Bit of an extreme way to frame the argument in that first paragraph I'm not sure even the people who weirdly/stupidly wanted Howe out since the end of last year, think that. Most people on here tend to watch the Prem regularly, some even only our games regularly, based on comments. Quite a few seem fed up with modern football full stop and hardly watch it. I don't feel far off that! Plenty are far more knowledgeable and watch European leagues, too. But how many can genuinely watch enough or consume enough information about a team in 6th place in Serie A, 3rd in the Bundesliga, 5th in La Liga etc.? I'm not really sure you can form a solid argument on why that manager would be better than Howe. I'm not sure you can full stop, TBH. Even if you were looking at unrealistic targets that would never come here. Replacing Howe would come with a lot of risk attached. Plenty of good managers have failed at certain clubs and I think bad to average ones have had spells of success, too. It's not like there would be a safe, sure thing that we could go for. But then how long do the board and fans give Howe, before they think it's as much of a risk to sit tight? If we don't get into Europe again? If we don't win again before the end of the season? If the club and Howe have another disastrous transfer window and then start next season with more of the same? A mid-table finish next season? Everyone has different views on that, I guess. Sticking to the prem only and realistic managers. I genuinely think only Iraola would be exciting and is someone I think could do well here. But then I also think his style of football could also see us burn out, have loads of injuries and get battered at times. Along with a horrendous amounts of yellow cards. After that, fuck knows? Marco Silva, maybe There really is a dearth of quality managers in the prem now I'm looking at it On Simeone. I think he is the highest paid manager in the world. So I'd suggest about as attainable as Ancelotti and Pep Maybe one for the unpopular opinion thread. But I don't particularly enjoy watching his sides, FWIW. I voted 'unhappy but willing to give him more time' when the poll went up and I've not changed my view. I still don't like a lot of the stuff we serve up, we've barely had a convincing win in the league all season and we still have glaring flaws and weaknesses that we had 2-3 seasons ago, along with some new ones. But I also love the man, he has done so much for the club and I think he deserves more time to figure it out. Plus as I've said above, it's not like it is easy to replace him with a nailed on upgrade.
