Ah right, the everyone knows his name one. Cheers

Best performance for us this season. Was fairly solid defensively, could have done better for Defoe's goal, but it's a great shot and I think Colo rushed out to Adebayor a bit hastily and left him exposed. The little run at the end was quality, nice pass for Shola and his set pieces were looking really dangerous by the end of the match. Not saying he's the long term solution to left or right back, but he's a good squad player, that can cover a lot of positions.

You can tell he buzzes off the crowd and really loves managing us. At the game I noticed him pumping the crowd up twice, he spent pretty much the entire 90 minutes prowling his technical area and was always shouting instructions. Watched the match back for the first time on TV last night, is it just me or does he shout ridiculously loud? I'm sure I never heard what Hughton was yelling to the players. But a few times you could hear Pards: "Besty, fucking superb tight Demba, pressure him, brilliant work." Then clapped and just generally encouraged everyone. "Take him on Gab, open up, go past him" Were a few more times where you could hear him barking out orders, but can't remember what he said. Not the first time I've noticed it, he seems a pretty vocal manager, really like that.

Is there a chant for this bloke yet? He's too good and too much of a fans favourite not to have one!

Arguably his best game for us so far. Looked strong, quick and showed some really classy touches and bits of skill. He drops really deep at times to link up play, almost like we're playing 4-4-1-1, but he still manages to then get forward and into the box, his goal being the perfect example. No wonder he came off, thought both he and Besty put a real shift in.

Think some are being a bit harsh on him. He did lose the ball a few times and run it into blind alleys. Problem was, because we were pushing for the winner and the game was so open, we were left really exposed when he did lose it. Watching the game back last night, he commits a lot of defenders and certianly added some much needed drive to our attacks, couldn't rely on Jonas all game and Ba had gone off. Been said loads of times, but he was trying way too hard to impress and win the game himself. I personally thought there were some really promising signs from him. Depending how the game goes Saturday, I reckon he'll get another 20-30 minutes, then start against Blackburn.

“You only have to look at one wing and you are going to have Gareth Bale flying down one way, and then we have Obertan’s pace on the same side going the other. “That match-up alone should whet the appetite for most fans.” Read More http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/10/14/pardew-s-eager-to-boost-nufc-points-total-72703-29593828/#ixzz1akwSWzAa Hmmmm Simpson and Obertan vs Assou-Ekotto and Bale. Spurs fans must be drolling over this. Dunno whos worse Simpson or Ekotto. Tiote will be drawn out towards Bale as he tends to V good quick wing players. Different sides of the pitch, but Ekotto is a lot, lot better than Simpson. You're either deluded about Simpson's abilities, or haven't watched much of BAE the past couple of years. Spot on. Although at times I still see BAE have the odd game or moment where he looks utter shit, he's massively improved as a player and looks a real class act.

Did I miss something? I know he's thrown a few shockers in against us in the past, but I rate Dawson.

Watched the highlights from the York game earlier. His goals

Having a dig at our European games in that thread as well

Not this argument again. Depending on what point those twats are trying to get across depends on what areas are 'Mag strongholds' One week sunderlands areas stretch right up to Gateshead and Durham is 100% red and white, next week the only area in the North East that support SAFC are from Pennywell. Utter fucking mongs
-
yup, and i remember his lunges at digard, modric and ronaldo too. f***ing horrible t*** of a player. cattermole, you're fooling nobody Remember the Modric one, over the top of the ball and straight leg lunge. I seem to remember RTG at the time claiming it wasn't even a yellow, probably not even a foul as he touched the ball

This. He's tidy in possession most the time, has a good engine and weighs in with the odd goal. However, some of the comments from the press were ridiculous. Our media does have a tendancy to over hype players. Bale at the start of last season for example (not saying he's not a great player BTW!)
-
What a fucking weapon, not like a follow this twat's career, mainly because he's a fucking useless, boring clogger. But he has made 3 shocking challenges on our players over the years and his card stats suggest otherwise. The tackles on Barton, Beye and Jonas were all dangerous lunges, two of which resulted in long term injuries. I think the "soft yellow cards, refs out to get me" comments are utter shite. He's actually been lucky with not getting a second yellow on a few occassions, the WBA game being the perfect example. Can't believe this moron can come out with bollocks like this

If Rasberry Pavlova plays, you'll struggle. He is such a hot and cold player, and seems to be cold the majority of the time, shit attitude as well. As someone else said, it's difficult for AP, does he stick or twist? I'm caught in two minds, but I would say if we're only going to make minimal changes, then Santon should start. Watched the Wales game last night and now can see the reasons why people would think it's a good idea dropping Obertan and shifting Jonas to wide right, Bale was on fire. If he plays half as good as that on Sunday I feel Simpson will either need some assistance to leave SJP after corkscrweing himself into the ground or he'll spend the majority of the game with the fans behind the goal after backing off so much. That said, Obertan might play a blinder and release the pressure running the ball on counter attacks and giving Bale something more to think about with his defensive work. This has all the markings of a quality game with a few goals. 0-0 anyone?
-
From .com. He actually only played 70 odd minutes in the first game still class that he's come through another match ok. If the likes of Santon and Ben Arfa don't start on Sunday, I fully expect to see them play against Wigan.
-
Fair do's, looks bloody tiny at the match. As they say though, not the size of the dog in the fight and all that, he doesn't shy away from the rough stuff.
-
Isn't Henry like 6ft 2", terrible aerial stats as well as his shit tackling, the man really is a footballing mule. Cabaye is a dwarf in comparison, he's barely 5ft 8" and hardly has a big frame, yet wins every other header he goes for and can make a tackle without nearly killing someone. Kelvin Henry

Subbed off? I thought he was taken off because he was injured
-
Already got tickets, but had a quick scan the other day and it looks like we're going to get a good crowd for this. Not sure how many Spurs are bringing up, but if we get anywhere near 48k it would be brilliant, especially when you consider the price and the fact it's 4pm on a Sunday and on TV!
-
Fooking hell, 3 bits of good news I've just read in the last 10 minutes
-
Good news, now just got to hope he comes through the 90 without any problems.
