Stifler proper lost his head last night, I see
-
Runs his bollocks off and seems to have a free role. Him being so one footed and no longer wanting to run past players is sometimes a hinderance, mind. He has the pace and footwork to beat people. But rarely seems to do it. One thing that is great to see. Is that he has a free role in an attacking position. But works hard for 90 minutes. Things like tracking back and tackling Townsend fairly late in the game. Fair enough he was maybe a bit deeper by this point. But it’s great to see and means it ‘should’ be hard for Bruce to drop him or change his position yet again.
-
Started really well. Gave that needless free kick away for the goal. Then lost his head and had a mad five minutes. Looked scared the rest of the game. Don’t want to feel like I’m singling him out. But just one of many players we have that just don’t seem good enough. We love chucking money at flimsy, weak looking wide players from Norwich, obviously.
-
Why does this cunt sit so deep all game. Him, Hayden and Hendrick just stand still on the halfway line when we’re in possession. Slowly trotting back and forth, passing it sideways and backwards at a snail’s pace. Shelvey overhits everything. Hendrick underhits everything and it’s always straight and to no one. Hayden doesn’t pass forward and never carries it like he used to. Our midfield is fucking depressing and one of the main reasons we’re so shit and in a relegation battle.
-
Wank 5 minutes has cost us the game. We have no link between the midfield and attack. We’re too slow in possession and no movement in the middle. With Shelvey, Hendrick and Hayden all static and sitting deep. It’s fucking infuriating, as we have some decent attacking options. But no fucker to carry the ball or actually show for a pass from midfield.
-
It was the same in possession against Everton. Hayden drops in, the two CB’s push wider and the full backs get higher up the pitch.
-
Fraser’s corners are really dangerous. Just surprised at how average he looks in open play. Never takes anyone on and looks rushed and scared whenever he gets a chance.
-
Much better than usual, again. Ran out of ideas at the end of the half. Slow and ponderous on the ball. Just passing for the sake of it and not even trying to work openings. Creating loads more than we usually do and certain players look rejuvenated. Wank foul to give away for their second. So naive and needless. Hendrick a passenger as per usual. Other than that. Reasonably happy. Feels almost enjoyable to watch us again.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

This 100%. Totally agree. Although I’m already dreading his first mistake when he’s brought back in as the reaction will be ridiculous. I nearly added something like this in. You can just hear Bruce now hanging him out to dry. Then bringing Darlow back in until the end of the season. That said, I'm not sure Dubs will even get back in unless Darlow gets injured or drops a couple of clangers close together. -
Rapid. Yet never took a man on. Or when he did manage to get by them, he would cut back and pass it inside or backwards. Such an annoying player.
-
Jonas was exceptionally quick when he first signed for us. Not sure if he bulked up a bit after signing or just lost a bit of pace but it only seemed to last a year or 2. He was a great ball carrier. But never would have called him quick? Not the same speed as the likes of Yedlin, Bellamy, Dyer, Sissoko, Martins etc.

As harsh as it would be to drop Darlow, due to the fact he has done nowt wrong. It is elite sport and there isn't much room for sentiment. He played because Dubravka got injured and has performed admirably. Dubravka is now back fit, is the number 1 keeper and the better player. He should be back in now, 100%. -
No idea how accurate these stats are. But he was so impressive yesterday. Just happened to be superb the same day Almiron and Wilson had their best games for us.
-
He linked well with ASM a few times and there were some good signs of that against Leeds, too.
-
It’s dipped in and out. But I didn’t think it was that bad.
-
Been quite a good 0-0 at times, this. Draw probably the fair result.
-
Not really, I didn’t think. Wilson spent a lot of the game wide and running channels. Fraser was also pretty wide a lot of the game. Almiron was all over and ended up in a bit of a free role. It was refreshing to see how fluid they were. A lot of interchanging and good diagonals inside from Wilson and they seemed to be lining up in different positions at times. When defending. It looked like a 4-3-3. Almiron was central in the 3 more often than not.
-
The first goal was the hardest chance of the lot. I know it was a free header. But no right to be netting from there. Hitting the post was bad. Should be scoring that. The one at the start of the second half wasn’t as bad as it looked, I don’t think. Don’t think it was an out and out sitter. His all round game was great. Strong, ran channels, neat footwork in tight areas and he buys fouls. Oh yeah and he scored two! Nice to have a proper 9 at the club.
-
I was just wondering, is he this way with all clubs or does he have a soft spot for us? One of the few presenters that seems to go out of his way not to tow the cliché line at every opportunity. Always sticking up for the fans on Twitter.

Jake what’s his name on BT really likes us, doesn’t he?
-
Forgot what it was like to enjoy a game. Fair fucking play. Everton were dreadful. But that is the best we have played since Bruce has been manager. A real complete performance. Cheers Graeme.
-
Guaranteed every game. Commentator 100% believes Hayden doesn't go down without needing treatment much at all For someone that gets stuck in and is probably the closest we have to a midfield ‘hard man’. He doesn’t half spend a lot of time on the deck!
-
“Steve Bruce has found Almiron’s position.” The twat has been playing him out of position since he’s been here. He’s always been an attacking mid and played more centrally FFS. Been really surprised at the workrate, the formation and how high up the pitch we are pressing. Jones’ instructions. It’s the only explanation.

Noticed a few new members sticking up for Steve Bruce. Fuck off.

Steve Bruce bashing away.
