TBF, I have always said when he isn't being a complete twat, purely to bait people into calling in. Durham is a good journalist and quite knowledgeable and clued up. Especially compared to most of the mongy hosts they have on that station.

Darren Gough was one of my childhood sporting heroes growing up. It was some heel turn when I started hearing him on Talksport. He supports about ten teams and has no idea what he's prattling on about. Used to always link it back to "crick-eet" and all. Insufferable bore. Not listened for years, thankfully. But I still watch clips on twitter now and then. I've actually been pleasantly surprised with some that I've seen. Durham in particular.

Great post and fully agree. I don't particularly enjoy watching him anymore and he's certainly past his best. But I don't understand some of the flak aimed his way from our fanbase.

Why is it bollocks? Because they performed a bit better against a newly promoted team, who stood off, sat back on a lead and who are not very good at defending. We still lost and they all still looked thoroughly fed up, clueless on what they're meant to be doing and on the whole, going through the motions.

I think he looks crap. But then again, so do most of our players at the minute. So quite a lot of the ones who have previously shown some ability get a free pass. As do the new signings, on the whole. Hendrick looks dreadful, mind. Shelvey, Carroll and Joelinton are the only ones where I do understand the regular criticism.

The way the commentators were going on at the end there. We’ve played a bit higher up the pitch. Due to ASM coming on and them dropping off. We were still shit for the whole first half as per usual and we have lost again. God the bar is low if that is considered a good performance/half.

TBF to Hope. He has been critical from very early on. He rattled Bruce to the point he'd reference him and then called him out in that press conference. A few others have started to get stuck in a bit of late. Hence why they've been banned.

Yeah. Said it before on here but I’ve played five a side with him on a Wednesday a fair few times he’s my cousin’s mate. He’s sound and a fan, good to have him on our side. Class player too Good to hear. Shame he writes for the Mail. But I enjoy how harsh and honest he is in comparison to most journos covering NUFC. The famous “you calling me a liar, Craig” bust up.

I don’t post in here much, so can’t comment on others. But within my group of friends, where there are plenty of Man U fans (obviously). It’s been said for ages that player for player, you have the best squad in the league, bar City. Not all of them agree, of course. But the depth is certainly there and the money has been spent. Not always wisely, mind! Defence has always seemed the suspect area. But that has looked pretty good for the most part, from what I’ve seen. I think for a good while. OGS was underachieving with that squad. As it stands, I think he is overachieving. If they win the league then 100% that is an overachievement.

Man U do have incredible depth. Maybe City have slightly more. But not a lot in it. Has Shaw been good for a while? Or is it just the last two games against Liverpool where he’s turned into prime Ashley Cole.

That started off so well. Then Cascarino started talking. Complete load of shit from him, as per usual. We know the ownership is bad. But why does that mean Bruce is exempt from criticism? It’s a fucking joke how much the media trip over themselves to make excuses for him.

I think his first touch is a bit poor at times. But I think he’s really clever with using his body, as he isn’t exactly a target man. His workrate is good and he has a good change of direction, but just lacks that explosive pace. He’s by no means slow, but he’s not pulling away from many defenders. I feel really sorry for him. As he does a lot of good donkey work. But there is never any fucker within 40 yards from him. Or his hard work is in the channel and there is no chance of him turning it into a chance. A lot of flat balls into him, back to goal, up against 2-3 defenders. The service is fucking diabolical. Reminds me of the stuff Allardyce served up at Derby and Wigan away.

If they don’t replace Bruce in the next 2-3 games. Then I can’t see how we stay up. We can’t score, we can’t pass, we can’t defend and the players look like a bunch of strangers that hate playing football, every week. If Bruce were to get sacked. Which is doubtful. I really don’t know who would come in and work under Ashley, anyway? Pretty uninspiring and short list, I’d imagine. Best we could hope for is someone like Pearson short-term, I guess? What’s ‘Arry Redknapp up to these days?
