  1. Isn't the guy that runs it, a complete and utter bellend? I'm sure I put that account on block. Used to always be pro-Pardew and would never have anyone criticising the club.
  2. I thought the same. Need them to beat Southampton and/or Arsenal to lose at City. If they need a win against us, to guarantee second place. I think they would be fired up and would be looking to break the hoodoo.
  3. It would obviously be ideal, if we win on Saturday and Norwich and sunderland, both lose their next two. Going into the final game needing a result, is a bit of a worry. I think if we do need to get something from Spurs, I just hope they have 2nd place secured. Have they ever finished above Arsenal in the Premier League era?
  4. 8. I think we'll beat Villa and maybe manage a draw against Spurs. But I think sunderland will get points. I think they'll lose to Chelsea. But more than likely beat Everton and Watford. I think Norwich will probably beat Watford and lose the other two. So it's not them I'm worried about.
  5. Wasn't keen on the signing and I thought we'd overpaid. Not that it should matter, as it's nice to see us finally spending. But I just couldn't detach myself from HBA leaving on a free and spending about £30m on 3 players, trying to replace him. TBF to Townsend. It didn't take long to change my opinion of him. I thought he looked decent enough against Everton, when the whole team was shit and he was lacking fitness. Then I was very impressed when I saw him live, against WBA. It's a shame he got injured, as he has contributed to what, 6-7 goals since his arrival? If he had stayed fit, then perhaps we would have 2-3 more points? Who knows? Even when he is having a bad game, he runs his bollocks off. He definitely runs into traffic too often and regularly holds onto the ball for too long. But I love his attitude and passion and he seems to have bought into the club. I hope he stays if we go down. He'd light it up for us in the Championship.
  6. Pretty sure it was blood, he was getting treatment for it straight after and his nose was bleeding. Gross Really?! That is fucking rank.
  7. That Dier foul could have been a straight red, IMO. It was one of the rare occasions, when a foul didn't look as bad in slow mo. In real time, it looked absolutely brutal and it was two footed, if memory serves?
  8. When the crowd spontaneously started an impromptu rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone, I welled up a bit, TBH. Really wasn't expecting it and I thought it was a nice touch. It is a great song and really gets the atmosphere going. I've always been a bit jealous of Liverpool fans being able to sing it before matches.
  9. That really doesn't read brilliantly for Tottenham I'm not sure they'll get Walker for the booger flicking, or Lamela for treading on Fabregas. But Dembele has to be getting a 3 match ban. Did they change the laws, regarding an official seeing the incident? If the linesman admits to seeing that, then can they retrospectively ban him?
  10. I thought he played alright? Still not involved enough and it may just be because my expectations are extremely low ATM, when it comes to Gini. But he was running riot at the start of the second half, when he went more central. I thought Palace were shit scared of him and struggled whenever we got him on the ball.
  11. I liked how he tried to let the game flow and it was good to see him not overreact at times. However, there were so many blatant things he missed/bottled. Dier at the end, Mason trying to hug and head butt Hazard, Rose and Walker probably could have gone, and all. Can't really blame him for missing the snot throwing from Walker, the 'stamp' from Lamela and the gouging from Dembele.
  12. Saw him after the game on Saturday. He is a right unit. Handsome guy
  13. Dover let our acca syndicate down for £250 each on Saturday. They were 3/4, as well.
  14. This. Best case scenario I could see us winning the next two but Sunderland have looked solid and played with high intensity for weeks now. I'm also covering old ground here but Everton, Stoke and Watford have completely given up. Can anyone really see them not getting 5 points at least from that? So a ten then? No point going nine if you think we're not going to finish above them. We need to win all three and I just can't see that happening. Hoping for Forest away the Friday night of the first weekend of the season. f***ing hell, not this again People get far too upset about the f***ing RELEGATIONMETER I do not 100% think we are gone and I don't think we're dead and buried, like I did a while back. I think with the way we have been playing of late. There is every chance of us getting 6 points from the next 3. Possibly more, depending on what Spurs have to play for. I did the predictor thingy and had us going down on goal dif, with sunderland drawing with Watford and Everton, losing to Chelsea and beating Stoke. Saying "I just don't see us finishing above sunderland." Is not me saying, we are 100% not going to finish above them. I just don't think it is very likely. If they win two more games. Then at the very least, we're going to need to beat Spurs
  15. Every weekend, I seem to start liking this man a little more. I know he keeps brushing it off, as he doesn't want to talk about going down. But if the club and Rafa, were to release a statement before the end of the season. Stating that he will remain at the club, regardless of which league we are in. Then I honestly don't think I'd care too much about going down. Getting relegated and then appointing someone like Nigel Pearson, would be a massive kick in the bollocks.
  16. Still a 9. I think we'll finish above Norwich and I fancy us to win the next two. I just don't see us finishing above sunderland.
  17. This is ridiculous, the bloke had you finishing 5th, and now has kept you up comfortably. Careful what you wish for. With a club in disarray, a deluded, stubborn manager with increasingly bizarre selections, woeful underachievement and our best players likely to leave, I think I'm best suited to talk on this one mate.
  18. Fair point on the first one. Tiote's goal against Man City, clearly should have stood IMO. But it had pundits and experts, disagreeing. I'm not having the second point, though. You honestly think, that with a video replay, with multiple angles, where they can draw a line across the pitch. It wouldn't be possible to see if a player's foot, head, knee or whatever, is offside?
  19. Should be for mistaken identity, off the ball violent conduct incidents, that the ref has missed and for offside/not offside, where the goal has been scored, IMO. Even then, I think you'll get problems. As when the lino flags, the ref will blow his whistle and teams stop playing. If you bring in video reviews. Then you could potentially get situations, on a regular basis. Where linesmen just don't bother to flag, play will continue and then they'll go to the review after the chance has been scored or missed. I think linesmen would be really reluctant to get it wrong, when there is a video replay available. The same way umpires in Cricket, almost always go to the 3rd umpire for run out decisions. Even when it seems ridiculously obvious that it's out/not out. It could really slow the game down and cause even more controversy. I certainly don't want it for penalties and red cards, where the ref has seen it. It's still subjective and open to interpretation, surely? It's a bit different if someone elbows, stamps or punches someone, away from the ref's view. That could easily be looked at and a red issued after the event.
  20. I'm one of his biggest critics. But since Rafa has come in, he has always worked his arse off and there has been a definite change in attitude, IMO. Unfortunately, it has also coincided with him playing left wing, where he is absolutely useless. If the last two games are anything to go by. He's back to playing well in a more central role and he is still working hard.
  21. That whole thing, really, I don't get it. It's all a bit 'big deal', surely? The time to get annoyed is when you go down and nobody bats an eyelid - like Albion or Sunderland, for example. Anyway, you've got the perfect chance to take the p*ss back coming up pretty soon. I fully expect you to take it and will be amazed if you don't. Schadenfreude, it is one of the building blocks of football, surely? Errr. Not really. We could be relegated and all. We get the chance for a bit of piss taking revenge and we even manage to fuck that up
  22. I'm not quite as confident as you. But before last night, hadn't we lost our last 12 against Man City? You never know, we might break our Anfield hoodoo, as well. If we get a draw. That would be 2 points more than I expected from the City and Liverpool games. Sadly, I think we need a win, if we are to get out of it and I just can't see that.
  23. Still at a 9. I said anything last night would have been a bonus. As I expected a defeat and our goal dif to take a hefty whack. I think we'll beat Palace and Villa. Who knows against Spurs?! It all depends on whether they have anything left to play for. Either way, it will be a hard game. I just worry about the mackems. They have a far better goal dif, and I don't think their fixtures look particularly hard. I could easily see them getting another couple of wins. Everton, Watford and Stoke, are all winnable games, for them. If they get another 6-7 points, it would probably mean we're goners. As I don't see us getting anything on Saturday and the Spurs game is going to be incredibly difficult. We need Arsenal to sort out their shit and hammer them on Sunday. At least we've given ourselves a chance, though. I thought we were dead and buried, after Norwich.
