I thought he was good first half? Mainly the off the ball stuff. But some decent stuff in possession too. The second half was atrocious, mind. There was a 5-10 minute spell where he lost it every time he got it or tried to pass it.

Think he was deeper than usual from the long throws and set pieces. Could have come for a couple. But nothing major. Had naff all to do, really.

Almost feel sorry for him. I just laughed when he missed. So so bad.

Brilliant, the same as Burnley. Only really Miley and Bruno stopping him get my MOTM again. He was much better on the ball and was arguably our best midfielder in possession first half. He is always the out ball from the back or the keeper. Same when we’re trying to work it down the line from a throw or around a press. He still makes that run in behind off the left, as well. We all know how good he is off the ball, too. Closing down and winning headers from set pieces. Did get caught having too many touches late on and not releasing it sooner. But I think he was tidy as fuck otherwise. Such a hybrid and a unique player.

Even if he was a 1-2 goals a season man. He’d still be a key player for us. But he has had decent returns every season, despite it never really being part of his game before joining. 7 already this season. That’s massive. Great to have a goal threat from midfield.

Miley MOTM. Special mention to Big Joe and Bruno. After a wobbly 5 minutes after they came on. The subs made a difference. Ramsey was quiet, mind. Set pieces very good today for a change. Onedek must be stopped. Why is he putting that on again?!

Just to add. We still look dreadful trying to play round a press. We did it once going into Joelinton inbetween the lines. Which is often the only route out, hit Joelinton. But other than that. We just slowly pass along the back 4 or 5. Then lose it down the wings.

We seem to be persisting with holding onto the ball for 2-3 touches too many. Before losing it and then Palace going on the attack. Ok half. They should have scored at the end. But we’ve had the better of it. Our midfield are lazy as fuck when it comes to tracking runners into the box.

Poor game. Definitely there for the taking. All they want to do is make it a slow game and they’re taking an age from every setpiece. For some reason, we seem to be following suit. Midfield have been good. Hall up and down. Gordon lively. Murphy atrocious so far. He should come off at half time if this keeps on.

Except since the knee injuries. He has rarely looked like the player he was before. You honestly think he doesn’t look less agile and slower?
