He looks fantastic when he is getting more involved like he has the last few games. The team look so much better in attack with him doing this too. For someone who looks so composed with such good technique. He is a bit tame with his one on one finishing at times. If we create more than one good chance a game for him and get him involved. He looks world class. More of that please!

Thought he had a couple of tough games in a row where he made a couple of minor mistakes and was punished for them. Responded with a performance like that. Was pretty much flawless today.

Great shout. As brilliant as Bruno is. When he plays deepest. He does often want to have a few touches before shifting the ball. Or invite a tackle so he can roll them or win a free kick. Ironically. In the Liverpool game and again today. Bruno is quicker on the ball when he is in the other team’s half.

He gets about the pitch better than any of our midfielders. The Joes included. He has a canny knack of pressing high and having some sort of impact. Then moments later, he’s back in our half to break up play or collect a loose ball. Like a magnet to where the action is. I know others contributed more. But it was Him or Hall MOTM today, for me.

Would rather Liverpool won. We’re slogging it out in midtable with Fulham.

Yeah. Almost the perfect performance that after some of the shit of previous weeks. Not going behind due to shit defending and being able to stick with our usual gameplan helped massively. Could have won by a few more. Ipswich away is now a bit of a test. Not as bad a team as their results suggest and our away performances haven’t been good for a long while.

Been needing that performance for ages. Helped that they were utter shite. But our attacks and gameplan once we go a goal ahead/not going a goal behind early’ish make such a difference. As I’m sure it would for most teams. Managed to rest a few players. No real negatives after 90 other than Joelinton’s ban and the fact we should have scored at least a couple more.

It really isn’t. His first touch is absolutely shocking for a player anywhere near this level. The same as his dribbling under any sort of pressure. Decision making and passing not much better. He is pretty fast, can strike a ball well and through volume and work. His goals and assists I’d imagine are pretty good for minutes played the last season or two. I’d guess he attempts more shots and crosses per 90 than most on our team. Which I am not saying is a bad thing BTW. Howe has done a very good job of turning him into an effective player for us. But his technical ability is nowhere near this level. It’s not even me having a go at him. It is just that he has massive limitations and they are magnified in certain games and moments.

Can’t get my head around Murphy. Good against Liverpool in lots of ways and unlucky not to score. 2 assists last week. 2 goals and unfortunate not to have an assist today. Yet for large spells. He looks like a League One level player. Passing, touch and decision making all over the place. Humble pie for me. But with the players we have in the squad. We are probably a better team with him right wing.

Get Osula and Barnes on soon. Willock if he is good to go, too. Loads of games coming up and certain key players need protecting a bit.

Played really well by and large. Passing is a lot crisper, seem to be attacking with some intent and speed, moving them about all over the pitch. But it’s still only 1-0, they came back into it a bit, we’re seeing some brainless stuff from some of our players. It should be more than 1 and all. They look awful and have their midfield missing. We’ve had some great chances and openings. But pretty wasteful as per usual.

That is a brain dead passage of play from our captain and talisman. Needs to be a lot smarter than that.

Had a similar situation last season. Where Dubravka was consistently crap and plenty wanted Karius to get a chance. I think he came in for Arsenal away and was even worse. Albeit in a tough game to make your league debut for the club!
