  1. It wasn't that simple at the time though, a lot of people still had (unwarranted) faith that we had a top class player on our books that could pop up with a goal. I know his performances were terrible but Shearer clearly thought he could get the best out of him. There's a lot of hindsight bullshit going on with Owen and the relegation season imo - the other options weren't brilliant either and we weren't so aware that he had the heart of a pea at the time. Wrong as I'd have been I'd have generally put Owen in my first 11 and hoped I could get the best out of a player that was the best striker in the country not that long ago. Where I share Ronaldo's concerns about Shearer is that he appears to have limited football knowledge with regards to other leagues and other approaches, much like most of the pundits you see on telly. I'm starting to think he should have went straight into management to stand a chance of doing it in the long run. Still don't agree with Ronaldo's general jumping on Shearer at any opportunity though, the agenda he has negates any point he makes on Shearer imo, you can't take it seriously.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

well no matter what reason is it, he's just using it to skip the reserve match . Eh? Is this a joke or attempted sarcasm, not sure what to make of this!? He didn't want to play in the reserves so he flew to Tunisia I suppose it is easier than him saying he's got a tight hamstring and doesn't want to risk getting injured well if Mikel can stayed and played when his father was kidnapped , why can't Ben Arfa? Believe it or not, human beings are all different and deal with personal problems and grief differently, strange isn't it? We're in the middle of an International break, and not got a game for another week and a half, hardly a massive problem he missed a reserve game is it? Also I'm not sure how Mikel would go and visit, he didn't know where his dad was i didn't say it's a massive problem, did i? and yes human are different, that's why some never absent from their work , the other always looking for excuse for not showing up

Easiest start to the season this year was Newcastle's surely: So one top-4 team, and they're bang out of form. The rest - all beatable. Its an easier beginning that we've had. I think in the long term, Marveaux will be the starter in the left. He's ten times better footballer than Jonas and is also known for his work rate. no Did you see him play ? started 2 league cup games , and came off the bench a few times in the league, show some potential , but not enough to convince that he's a better footballer than Jonas, look more dangerous going forward but Jonas is miles better in tracking back and defend . 10 times better ? if there's any truth of that statement, he should've joined Barcelona rather than free signing for us 10 times better, yes man, and what you saw is not enough to judge him. When he'll play half a season, you'll forget Jonas Guttierez. i hope you're right, but still a big NO atm. and i wouldn't drop Jonas for him , maybe replace Obertan in the line-up though

Jonas does some things better than others in our team and football isn't just about scoring goals. Jonas will track back and provide cover for the defenders, he can pick up the ball and take it forward and keep possession which can take pressure off us and give us a bit of time with the ball. He also wins a lot of free kicks in dangerous areas because he protects the ball well when making runs up the line. exactly he also create space for his teammates drawing the defender away with his dribbling.

    Alan Pardew

Serious? Yes. We are playing well because of the players that our scouts found. Not because we have been leaving Barfa on the bench and playing Lovenkrands ahead of plenty of much better players. sacked the cunt bring in Bruce who motivate the scum to come back from 2-0 down
