It doesn't make any sense. For the money we paid there must be bucketloads of actual 'likes scoring goals a lot' strikers we could have bought. Even if we bought him to play in his best position off a main striker, why didn't we then buy a main striker? The whole thing is just stupid.

Can actually see us winning this. Gayle is more effective at this level and Almiron is a nice foil for him. Shelvey should get a bit more space than he's allowed in the PL and Ritchie will also be at a level where he can be a much more effective threat. Best not mention the left wing. 0-2. Thought Gayle and Shelvey both had decent games tbf. Shelvey was at least trying to attack and Gayle showed some decent touches and movement. We were still fucking dogshit, like, but at least they were trying.
