  1. Nice that the local journos are tweeting out the sports redirect link.
  2. I thought it was a pen tbh, he gets his legs right between Joselu's and trips him.

    Sunderland

It's like FM when you accidentally put a striker in goal
  4. Howay, man, a bit more composure from Perez or a better final ball from Kenedy and we'd be going in 1 up.
  5. Shelvey's having a decent game, just sitting deep and dictating our play.
  6. Ban this sick filth. I don't want to see that proto-gorilla on here.

    On this day...

I was there that day, it was fantastic. 4-0 half time and me and my dad were joking about betting on 8-0 full time. Never did though, bugger

YT "ESPN FC Sport Science - Messi's goal vs Athletic Bilbao. (2015 Copa del Rey Final)" just watch that. Watched it, thought it was largely bollocks. It's a good goal, sure, but the hyperbole in that nonsense you mentioned demeans it. The science is bollocks? How do you work that out then? No, the 'science' isn't bollocks but they're making something big out of things that aren't really that special using fancy graphics and hyperbole. you don't think running the same speed as NFL elite athlete with the ball at feet, and under control is special? from static? Jamaal Charles is former track star and absolute lightning. By any metric that's impressive as fuck. Dude, it's a good goal for sure, no question but the greatest ever? Get tae fuck What's yours, out of interest? Haven't really thought about it tbh. Maybe Maradona in 86, Bergkamp, Shearer just for the technique, HBA Loads better than that one although they didn't have some fancy graphics and 'science' to get the hipsters all riled up. edit: Might make a good thread

Messi is more talented, simple as that. Cronaldo is an amazing player but he couldn't do what Messi can with a ball.
  14. You're wrong, he's going to buy the club with Jeff Bezos, we'll win the CL and PL five times in a row, have people handing out free tacos 24/7 on Grey Street and sign a unicorn as our no.9 (ballon d'or '19, '20, '22).
  15. Fuck the pessimism, fire up the takeover tracker and all welcome our new italian american overlords.
  16. The 'new' button seems to be messed up on some threads again.
  17. Free pint to anyone with a season ticket in the pub 0 - 15 minutes after kick-off time.
  18. I just can't believe we've managed to find a less likeable Crumpy.
  19. Other clubs are trying to compete on the pitch, we're trying to compete at the accountants, that's the big difference.
  20. The problem is you bring no sense of context into your posts. At a normal club, then sure, criticism may be warranted but even then it's a matter of opinion. What's missing from your view is the recognition that our manager is being forced to work with a squad that's not fit for purpose and has been constructed not in order to win football matches but to maximise the bottom line at the end of the season. You may disagree with tactics or substitutions (or the lack thereof) but the simple fact is we have a master craftsman being forced to work with broken, rusty tools swiped from a lockup by the river. Like it or not, he's doing the best he can with what he has and no amount of wisdom in hindsight changes that fact.
