This is gonna be another fun 90 minutes.
-
They kind of already are. Some 'tradition clause' now guarantees Bayern an extra 30m CL revenue before a ball has even been kicked. The other big clubs will undoubtedly be getting about the same.

Spiegel has a load more stuff up about it. http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/football-documents-show-secret-plans-for-elite-league-of-top-clubs-a-1236447.html In a way i'd love to see them piss off so the PL can become more competitive and get away from the ridiculous money driven hype machine it's become but i'd also feel for the genuine fans of the teams that are joining. They're the ones that are getting screwed over the most. If they do it then i'd hope our FA would take a hard line and refuse to let them rejoin our league system at the top when the novelty has worn off. Make them start from right at the bottom like any other club has to. The 11 'founder' teams would be guaranteed a place for 20 years too. 5 'guest' teams scrapping over the relegation spot

Has to be release clauses. Either a standard release or a relegation release that we now feel is too low. Probably relegation since we might not have thought we'd be in bother.

So he's really on about 4k a year, he just has loads of jobs Still too much tbh.

The longer we're in the championship the more powerful the fans become. In the PL it doesn't matter too much how many turn up because the TV money dwarfs every other revenue stream. After a few seasons in the championship when the parachute payments are gone the fans have a much louder voice as gate receipts become critical.

Just have to ignore them and carry on, again 1 person boycotting is standing up and saying no. You obviously hope thousands and thousands will boycott, but numbers shouldn’t factor in terms of success or failure or have any bearing after the event. There needs to be a big public push and call to arms leading up to it though and it would be nice to see Nufc.com do a write up like they did against Spurs which I thought was balanced and hit the right spot between those boycotting, those not and those undecided. As KK said, it’s our club so do what you want to do. Maybe an article or press release needs to come out explaining why a call for a boycott is being made and to ask people to join, but to also address those that won’t or don’t want to. I wouldn’t waste my time on the idiots who mock the idea or slag it nor get drawn into a debate over the merits or otherwise with them. This is where all fan groups and forums like here, Toontastic, websites like Nufc.com need to promote the boycott, on twitte, Facebook and in the media too. It may not attract everyone to join, but it will make people think about it and these protests and shed more light on just how unhappy we are and our opposition of Mike Ashley’s NUFC which he hasn’t paid for by the way, the fans have. Again it’s our club and it’s time to fight for it and I feel not going for just a one off match is something anyone can manage and that’s the message I’d like to see put out not the message fans should and if they don’t they are idiots. They are for going, but that’s my own personal opinion. It can’t be the personal opinion of the various groups nor individuals representing them outside of what they may think privately. Have the local press said much about it? If we could get them onside to publicise it and maybe even join the call it'd make a difference. Thinking about it, how much do you reckon a full page ad in the Ronnie would cost?

This is the thing. It's so hard to not just scream in people's faces but it'll do nothing. I'm not totally convinced the effort needed to convince people is worth it either, it's proper draining at times. I think arguing with people online is definitely tiring and frustrating. People hold their positions much more resolutely online. Maybe Plenum is right and we need a more simple approach, posters in local shops would be a constant presence and a symbol that the community is behind the movement. I think we'd need to be careful of dragging the online discourse into the realm of public reality, by not screaming in peoples faces, and maybe keeping it to anti Ashley posters, rather than the more divisive issue of boycott. On first reading that sounded like we'd have Branko or someone standing in the local newsagents all day
-
If they go up Don will sell a majority stake to that Sartori fella I reckon and he'll take over the running from there.
-
It's so frustrating, man. No one is ordering anybody to do anything. "Time away from the house." It beggars belief. Like their front doors only work on matchdays
-
The Arsenal 4-4 would have been a bit harsh if we'd come away with zero points
-
We can't score goals, we'll be lucky to get six points out of those games tops. Going down.

If he's cleared the debt how do we still owe him £125m?
-
Do you want to play for Newcastle or be coached by Egg on Toast Woodman?
-
Fuck off using tv characters in the football section. I'd convinced myself he played for Charlton before I googled it

Get Ian to do one on his Ben Arfa pilgrimage to Rennes.

Aye, do you seriously think Rafa isn't buying £20m players because he doesn't fancy it?
-
Reckon he would have loved the crossing game we were trying last night.....

Going down. Not much doubt about it in my mind, just feels like that kind of season.
