  1. It's not just the numbers, that's akin to the 'look at the table' shite from the season we finished fifth. It's as much the manner of the failures we're witnessing that points, once again, to a complete lack of ambition, urgency and competence.
  2. Have we just released the first ever leather football kit?
  3. “You guys don’t understand how f****** horrible we can be” Indeed.
  4. Our play did seem better when he was in the side imo. He could drop off and link up the play and let the midfielders get beyond him which made us a much more fluent side. Without him in that role we tended to revert to hoofball as the strikers were pretty much isolated.
  5. Or we could try negotiating a realistic price. We offered £8m, they want £16m. Somewhere in the middle would probably get the player. If we were serious. Pretty sure we'd be able to get him for £10-£13m. Is that our problem though? A club potentially names a price a deal will get done at. Despite there being the most money there has ever in the PL and at the risk of our world class manager being extremely unhappy we'd rather f*** about for the sake of 3/4 million to get the "best deal". We p*ss about and get no one Aye. Our problem is the slowness in which we operate. If Norwich have said they want £16m, we should be straight back in there with a £10-13m offer. If that gets rejected too, then I'd probably go and pay the £16m but we seem to drag it out over days/weeks. If he's got real potential then he'll be worth way more than that after a few years working under Rafa. The way the transfer market is inflating he'd probably be worth more than that next year anyway thinking about it. We should have the Tobin money available too, right? That should be paid this summer iirc.
  6. Not so sure. We managed alright last summer when Fat Mike was keeping his distance and Charnley and Rafa were running things. Now this new lawyer gadgie is here everything seems to have gone to shit again, don't reckon that's a coincidence.
  7. Good read Why don't they just have promotion and relegation over there?
  8. We were all thinking it tbf.
  9. It's fucking annoying me because I know the first two characters but it doesn't make sense without the third and I keep forgetting to find out what it is
  10. Puzzled. How does Rafa inferring crazy transfer market (i.e. not Cashley and minion(s) plotting/malicious intent/shortsightedness/bloody mindededness/rank stupidity etc etc) is at least partly responsible for lack of progress, and expressing awareness that fans are frustrated, justify wildfire hysteria that he is about to (contender for most typed word of the Summer, coming-up... drum roll) walk? How did you get that from the recent articles in the press?
  11. That's alright then, we're managing to keep up with Brighton. It's like the last 10 years never happened. 10 years of dicking around in the transfer market with no ambition other than to make a few quid and when we're seeing the same thing happening again, hearing the same rumours and reports and missing out on targets you can forgive people for getting a bit twitchy.
  12. All he knows is that he has every penny to spend Imagine the 'transfer summits' 'I like the look of these three, what's our budget?' 'Not telling you'
  13. How can he not know how much we have to spend? This fucking club, man
  14. Does make you wonder what that lawyer mate of Ashley is doing at the club. No signings in January and suddenly even a deal for a player with a known fairly low release clause takes a million years to complete Something's not right at NUFC again and it stinks of the same obstructionist tactics the fat man tried with KK.
  15. Reina would be a great signing. Better than anything we have and the perfect mentor for Woodman to learn from for a couple of years before taking over as our No.1. He knows Rafa and his methods well and plays the way he likes his keepers to play. Complete no brainer to get him inif we can. Over to you, thumbhead.
  16. Yeah, this. Not the worst top in the world but miles away from the maroon and blue hoops one or some of the other decent efforts we've had over the years. Even the banana kit was at least distinctive and unique, this just seems to be straight from the big book of generic football shirts.
  17. He used to go round my nana's house after a game before he turned pro.
  18. I think we have money but what we have needs to get us 6 or 7 players which means we need to manage our funds carefully.

Just let the little lad be, he's at rest now.
  20. the f*** man Seeing how these clubs have progressed and then looking at the state of NUFC is a disgrace. Envious of Everton ffs Well they've just sold someone for the best part of 90million Aye, because they paid £28m for him in the first place. Pay peanuts get monkeys comes to mind.
  21. Aye, i'd be happy with all of them. None of them seem out of our reach either, apart from Hernandez' wages maybe, and would come in within our £70m (lol) budget.
  22. Scary how we have such a long list of shite on our books. As much as Ashley is right to say we can't have this many players on our books, it's his disastrous transfer policy that's led to us accumulating so much shite. Slightly ironic that a transfer policy of buying players for resale value has left us with a load of players we can't sell.
