  1. Agree, but we also start nigh on every home game the same. Our entire game plan is to start like a house on fire and hope to score early, which in itself seems pointless as we can’t hold on to a lead. Plenty times we look absolutely burnt out by 20/30 minutes in, but we run ourselves into the ground in that period so one of them.
  2. A team of athletes now. Hardly any technical ability and certainly no mavericks, though that’s football across the board. When your USP starts failing (out running the opposition) it’s probably time for a change. I think the crowd turned today, which I feared might happen.
  3. wtf to some… There’s people on this forum from every corner of the world. Amazing NUFC fans but they’re hardly gonna bump into a mackem this week are they? Tit.
  4. Unforgivable second half. Sorry to keep bleating on but the shite performances week after week - who is to blame? Been average to shit for nigh on 11 months with £250m spent in that time. Unacceptable to let a team - regardless of locality - who’s scored 8 goals away from home and 1 in their last 8 from open play, absolutely take the piss second half. Unforgivable.
  5. Every member of this forum if they’re being honest with themselves can’t recall more than 2 (3 at a push) 90 minute performances this season. Can’t remember the last time when I’ve left the ground thinking ‘fuck me that was class’ in the league. Probably Man United which was in April 2025… Probably 5 or 6 mint performances since the cup final. Really felt like this version of NUFC peaked that day so I believe it’s time for a change .
  6. Just got home and thought I was being rash in the immediate aftermath, but that was absolutely embarrassing. What he says to the at half time is anyone’s guess. I absolutely adore the bloke but I’m firmly in the let’s move on camp now. Unforgivable to serve up such a tepid display against the lot, never mind twice. Absolutely fuming and he/we deserve all the shit we take for the foreseeable. A nine year, £700m head start and they’ve took 6 deserved points off us. I understand it doesn’t mean as much to some as it perhaps will to me, but for me it’s unforgivable for an NUFC team to serve that shit up. Pardew took flak for it and so should Howe. An absolute shit show.
  7. Some people support Howe before they support NUFC. I totally get why, but the best managers in history reach the end of a cycle at some point. We’ve been dire all season, we’ve spent a fortune and got worse. Time for a change.
  8. Spunked hundreds of millions of shit in the summer and let that dross tak 6 points off us. Losing there you can understand, losing at home with a powderpuff performance you cant. Deserves a statue, legend of a man. Time to go.
  9. Times up. Love the bloke, eternally grateful. But times up for me.
  10. I knew a lass who was a ripper in idols who used to suck people off for cash to save up to get a tit job. Apparently anyway.
  11. Yes and no. I don't think anybody involved in the club (playing/coaching staff + executive level) would be particularly arsed about qualifying for the Conference League - in fact I'd say they'd probably prefer we didn't. Obviously a chance of Europa still with 21pts to play for, but it would require being nigh on perfect for 7 games and I'm not sure we have that in us - I've not seen any evidence of it in 25/26 that's for sure. Losing on Sunday would knock the stuffing out of the fanbase, certainly the home crowd where there's been more than murmurs in recent league games (Man Utd aside). Obviously not aligned with the vast majority of idiots on Twitter etc, but losing on Sunday could really see the home crowd (start to) turn IMO. The fixture list is kind or cruel depending on how you view it, you'd certainly take what we have left but when you break it down; two games against our bogey sides, a trip to Forest who'll be fighting for their lives, a tricky game at Palace and a game at the soon-to-be champions at 17:30. Fulham and West Ham could hopefully both be dead rubbers (for them) depending on if West Ham continue their recent form. Sunday is a must win if we want Europa next season, and I think it's heightened by the fact there's a 3 week gap until we next play. Win and go into the break knowing we have Bruno et al to return and you really will start to believe we can do it. Lose and the mood will probably be at it's lowest for a while. It's a huge game.

    England

Harvey Barnes is never an England player, like. He should have took the opportunity to go to the World Cup with Scotland, it really is once in a lifetime stuff. Apart from being a very good finisher/goalscorer, he doesn't offer much else and shouldn't be anywhere near the national team. I also would be pretty gutted if he left us as he has the good habit of being able to score a goal - important ones at that. Just my opinion, don't kill me.
  13. Yep. The season really is on the line on Sunday imo. Lose and we'd be practically going through the motions until May, not to mention having to live with the fact them cunts had taken at least 4 points off us.
  14. Sliding doors game. We simply have to win and any other result is unacceptable. Criminal we've not beat these cunts on Tyneside since the 5-1 or at all in the league since Ryan Taylor's free kick. I'd absolutely love us to batter them but it'll be a shite game and the first goal will likely win it. Have to make sure it's us. Going into a 20 day gap with no game, if we lose I dread to think what the feeling will be. It more or less kills the season too. Just fucking win.
  15. Really does feel like we have to win. We can't be losing twice to this lot in the same season and I don't think a draw will suffice. They're not all that and have been lucky as fuck in many of their games. That being said, they're resilient and hard to beat. They're a kryptonite for us as it is, never mind the fact they play with a low-block which is our worst nightmare. If we score first and early and they have to open up it could be very different, but I fear we will really miss Tonali and especially Bruno in the midfield battle.
  16. So jealous of everyone going over. I used up my free one-a-season European pass in December for Leverkusen, which don't get me wrong was class, but there's something that hits different about following us abroad in the sun. Hopefully if we sneak into the Europa there's a naughty little trip to Spain/Italy/Greece in September. Have a cracking time everyone that's heading over
  17. Hoping we're a bit more creative with our shopping list this summer. Would be good to see more £20-£30m players from abroad that carry far less risk with much higher reward. I do think we will be stung by last summer though (thankfully). Hopefully Suds & Wilson can get some gems that can improve the squad for little outlay, and leave the big bucks to target 2 or 3 areas (keeper and striker for sure). Do NOT sign Dominic Solanke.
  18. When we've travelled abroad we've always had some of our lot in the home end like. In Leverkusen it was really noticeable, so I find it hard to be annoyed at any genuine Barca fans who've done the same - as long as they keep their heads down and don't be bellends it's just the way it is in European games. Neutrals is a different thing altogether. It's always going to happen in Europe, but it doesn't detract from the fact that those tickets are being taken away from genuine NUFC fans.
  19. Get him tied down asap. Really should be top of the priority list this summer, preferably before the World Cup. The rest of the country have started to notice how good he is and now Europe will too, last thing we need is him ripping it up in the World Cup.
  20. So proud of that performance. They didn’t have a clue what to do. Such a shame not to take a lead over there, probably wouldn’t have been enough anyway but would have made a huge difference. 11 warriors tonight. Unreal
  21. If the stadium isn't rocking tonight I fear it'll never be the same again. I've said it loads but that PSG game is one that will live with me forever, there's a high chance it's the most memorable couple of hours I've ever spent in that stadium. Tonight needs to be better than that. I thought the atmosphere in September was quite poor all things considered. I'll know as soon as I get to town if the atmosphere is going to be decent, you can really feel it in the air.
  22. Our season is falling to bits because we had an absolutely horrendous summer window. I must say, leaving the ground yesterday was by far the most pissed off I’ve been all season. It was nowhere near the worst performance, but an utterly frustrating yet predictable performance from us. Your left winger up front, your central midfielder on the left and your £70m forward playing as an 8. Absolutely baffling decision from Howe that one. No idea what he was thinking there, it caught nobody off guard. The mackems play very similar to Everton and they’ll be licking their lips at the prospect of sitting deep and just picking us off in a few weeks.
  23. Criminal to be starting 3 of your 11 out of position like. Really bad that.
  24. Blows my mind there’s people writing him off - got mates who constantly tell me how shit he is. If you think he’s shit at football then I’m sorry to say don’t know football. We may never see the best of him - who knows - but I’d be trying all I can to utilise him. Wonderful, silky footballer. Right up my street.
  25. Long story but didn’t get back to Newcastle till 3am. Nowt better than warm beers on a bus with a boombox after an away win. Class scenes at end with Woltemade and Sandro being pushed towards the fans. Man down this morning tbf, but definitely worth it. Days like this you wish your kids were grown up and don’t need entertained.
