Liverpool fans are the biggest set of entitled cunts in football. Bar the odd flirtation under Rafa and Rodgers, they were pretty much a cup team my entire life. It’s only more recently under Klopp they’ve been seen as an elite side again. Fuck them.

I think tonight is probably higher stakes than a 'typical' game, and I'd probably have less problem putting him in the squad if it was say a 14:00 Sunday game. Given it's his first meeting with them since leaving, they're planning all sorts of fan-based shit pre-match, it's a night game with relegation/CL implications, we're best to leave him out imo. That Xhaka/TAA incident at Anfield on Easter Sunday riled the home crowd up to claw back a 2 goal deficit and maybe even stopped Arsenal winning the league. I know Liverpool have a much better squad than Everton but fan power is huge in football imo, granted not all the time. Hopefully it's similar to when we played Portsmouth under Shearer in 08/09. Evening game, that fella singing Blaydon Races, everyone up for it and we fail to win.

Aye, it's absolutely huge. Win this and it knocks the stuffing out of Liverpool a tad, it will naturally deflate them if we keep matching their results. I've seen loads of Liverpool fans actually cheering us on tonight though, they really want Everton down.

6 points in the next 2 games should do it, like. Assuming Liverpool beat Spurs it would mean that they need to be 10 points better than us in 5 games. If that happens then the 1996 lads can be forgiven as this will be a complete capitulation. We'd need 7 points from Arsenal, Leeds, Brighton, Leicester & Chelsea. Saying that I'd take a draw tonight as long as we beat Southampton.

Not a chance. They’ll be lucky to drop points in one game never mind 2 or 3. They have Spurs, Fulham and Brentford in 6 days before we play Arsenal at home. Can’t lie I’m fucking terrified of them.

Imperative we win tomorrow - and Sunday of course - or at least take 4 points. They have Spurs, Fulham and Brentford all at Anfield prior to us playing Arsenal. If as expected they win all 3, it’ll put some serious pressure on us to beat Arsenal. Thankfully we couldn’t be playing Arsenal at a better time. But still.

Liverpool will probably be let off with a dodgy VAR call and score a late winner. Really would be massive if West Ham got a result here. To potentially go 11/12 points clear with 6 left after tomorrow would see them off, despite their favourable fixtures. Come on West Ham!

It's Liverpool's dodgiest game left for sure. If they fail to win tonight it could knock the stuffing out of them - 8/9 points to overhaul in 6 games is extremely difficult. If we then went on to beat Everton they're completely out of it. However I do think they'll win and it'll give them confidence going into 3 home games in 6 days next week. It's a huge game for us. Getting my youngin's bubble wand out as we speak.

£3765 for me if they come up, plus an additional £1620 if we miss out on the Top 4 and they come up, from £20 total stakes. I'll be very tempted if I see my cash-out get anywhere near to £1500!

Was trying to work out my own record the other day funnily enough, I have been to over 130 away games and I think I've seen about 15 wins Thankfully I'm not going here, but I am going to Leeds and Chelsea.

Liverpool have 3 home games in 6 days next week, which will probably put some pressure on us leading up to Arsenal at home. I'd expect them to win all 3, so it's massively important we get at least 4 points from Everton & Southampton. Could really do with West Ham getting a result tomorrow - I think that should end their push. Really don't want it to go to the final day. I'm going to Chelsea and would happily see us play the kids or something.

Convinced myself that they're going up and actually think they will, tbh. Only Boro can stop them imo. It's not that Sunderland are exceptionally good, the other teams around them are shite and in no form going into the play-offs. They do seem to be better than the rest though, aside from Boro/Luton. Boro over 2 legs would be hard but not impossible.

Definitely Liverpool the only team I'm worried about, but we need 13 points to actually guarantee finishing above them. Being ultra conservative; Everton (A) 1 Southampton (H) 3 Arsenal (H) 1 Leeds (A) 1 Brighton (H) 1 Leicester (H) 3 Chelsea (A) 1 That's 11, so if Liverpool drop points in 1 game then it should be enough. Realistically we will beat at least one of Everton, Leeds, Arsenal, Brighton & Chelsea, so 13 points (at least) should be a piece of piss.

Rough today like. You honestly could go to a match every day for the next 50 years and never get a 20 minutes like that. It was utterly surreal. The noise after 2-0 was something else, after that it was just like what on earth is going on. Feel like a right greedy bastard but gutted we didn't score at least 7 Can't fucking wait for next Sunday now man, we can and should win all of our home games. Definitely including Arsenal.
