It's crap man it's a league full of average crap, only teams who struggle are just that. Remember when we went down last time Shola was on target for 20 goals before injury for christ sake I have no doubt that if Rafa stays we'll walk it. A lot of the teams are that; crap. But I would say the top 8-10 teams in the Championship could more than give it a decent go in the Premier League. I do fancy us, just can't see it being as easy as last time regardless of who the manager is. Some sides down there play very decent football now, and the consensus that they'll just kick the shit out of you is a complete myth. Adding to that we will have Norwich to compete with, Brighton, Derby, Villa (if they sort their shit out and appoint a half decent manager) amongst others, it won't be the doddle some are expecting. We will have the best squad, best manager and the biggest budget, but just think 5/2 is slightly short.

5/2 to win the Championship. Sure it was as high as 9/2 the other day, then 7/2 when it looked like he may stay. Would expect us to win but still pretty short odds. Not an easy league by any stretch.

That's the thing. As much as he has taken stick recently (and probably rightly so to be fair) we don't know how far down the list of potential targets we end up signing as serial penny-pinchers. That's the unfortunate problem Leicester have. If teams no in the Champions League (Chelsea, Man Utd, maybe even Liverpool) come in for one of their 'star players', surely they would give up a season playing Champions League with Leicester to sign for a bigger club?

Forgot about De Jong. Can't see anyone taking him regardless. Regarding Krul, I agree. But he's made of glass and it's time to move on. Darlow is younger and can improve with the right coaching. A year of playing week in, week out can only improve him longer term. That said, similar to De Jong, can't see anyone buying Krul.

With Benitez, a squad of; Darlow, Elliot, Mbabu, Lascelles, Mbemba, Dummett, Colback, Anita, Shelvey, Townsend, Perez, Aarons, Mitrovic, Ayoze and Armstrong alongside some additions in defence, midfield and attack can absolutely piss that league like. I think it will be more difficult than 09/10, but we should easily be in the automatic spots. Realise I'm being hopeful with the likes of Townsend and Perez but if Benitez stays I can see him talking them into giving it until at least January to see where we are. Would actively try and shift; Krul, Sissoko, Coloccini, Janmaat, Wijnaldum, Cisse, Gouffran and Riviere. Obviously Taylor is out of contract too. Even the likes of Colback who I can't stand would probably be decent in the Championship. Absolutely mental but I'm strangely optimistic for the future. Just waiting for Mr Ashley and Miss Charnley to fuck it up.

Very tempted to have a bet on Sunderland to stay up at 6/5. Soften the inevitable blow.

To be fair when we first got promoted, Carroll was unplayable. 11 goals up until December I think. Kane is a class above like, but Carroll was fantastic then.

Needs a new deal. Still on the same deal as when he signed which I imagine would be relatively peanuts compared to the rest of the squad, especially given his first team status. Also would mean if he was to be sold, it would be for an astronomical amount.
