  1. Was working it out about 3 weeks ago at work and a treble on Man U to win the league, Berbatov to be top scorer (looks dodgey now like) and Birmingham to go down worked out at roughly 16/1, which I thought was class. Bottled putting it on like but if it happens I'll be sick.
  2. . Nolan was trying to not swear at first, kept saying 'fricken' then Joey came on and his first few sentences ended in 'cunts fucked off'. Nolan just went for it after that
  3. And me. Really miss the Bobby years, my fondest memories given I'm only 24. A true great, symbolic of everything the game should be, but today isn't. Seemed he died when the club was at it's lowest, but I guarentee he would be proud of the current crop. Miss you, sir, bet your'e managing the greats in the sky now.
  4. Pair of them spoke about investment but nowt to report. Spoke alot about the spirit, how they've really bought into the club. All positive stuff, sly dig from Barton about the owners and also January, but was really good to hear from them.
  5. Just got back from that talk in. Barton was class, told it like it was: Will sign if Nolan does, would be asking to be captain at any other Premier league team except us, Nolan is proper leader. Said it was funny players who said they wanted to stay were the first 'cunts to fuck off'. Love him.
  6. This, but probably around 5 or 6 years after leaving Liverpool to go to Blackburn or some s*** like that And we'll get a nice 25% of whatever team he goes to next pays for him. Win-Win
  7. I bet this big greasy bastard is back within 4 years. Can see him failing there.
  8. Surely the Spanish are aware of Jose now? He had a fantastic season last year (although at a lower standard) and has carried it on in probably the best league in the world, ultimately becoming one of the stand out left backs in the division. If he isn't selected soon I doubt he ever will tbh, regardless who he plays for.
  9. Be a high scoring draw, or a defeat. Just hope people stay to acknowledge the players for what has been a memorable season.
  10. Horrible bastards Swansea fans, remember seeing them on that Sky1 programme 'Football's Hardest Away days'. The mackems were on it too.
  11. To be honest, I'm glad we sold him when we did. If we had held on till the summer we wouldnt have got near £35million, and in hindsight his injury was a lot worse than everyone thought, so we wouldn't have had him available much regardless.
  12. This. Their fans were complete bellends last season, arrogant as fuck.

  14. Doubt Short will give them much tbh. Reason why Quinn's shitting his pants about the attendances, Short must be looking thinking 'I've done my bit and I'm losing a lot of money'. Can't see us getting much money either mind.
  15. Krul-750k Simpson- 500k Taylor -Free Colo-£10mil Jose -£6mil Barton- £6 mil R Taylor -p/ex Jonas-£4mil Ferguson-Free Loven-Free Shola-Free Soderberg-free Smith- £6mil Ameobi mk II- Free Ranger-Free Lua Lua-Free Kuqi-Free Tavernier-Free We more or less are.
  16. So finishing above a promoted team to prove 'youre better than them' despite hearing all season you were going to yewrup constitutes progress? Sunderland
  17. Finally we have someone telling it exactly how it is. Plenty people on here are saying "they are not bothered" but I can only presume the people saying this don't live/work/socialise in the North East,it matters to both sets of fans and no idea why some people find the need to deny this.Whoever finishes higher the other team won't hear the last of it all summer long and that's the way it should be,it's local rivalry, banter, bragging rights all summer. So if Sunderland squeeze ahead of us on the last day, it can be seen as an achievement for you lot? Despite us pissing all over you which culminated in a 5-1 win, as well as you spending fortunes, claiming to be destined for Europe whereas we have competed with a team deemed not good enough, the team that won the Championship + Tiote? I think not. Its fair to say the bragging rights will remain on Tyneside, whatever happens Sunday.
  18. Can anyone access the league table at several points over the season? Would be interesting to see what the points difference was at it's largest.
  19. Yannick Djalo? Linked alot last summer, always looked decent when I've seen him. Players in that league are famously payed low as well, so wouldn't cost the earth.
  20. I'd prefer Clark tbh. At the minute anyway. Although, I think the tinkering with formations/systems was a lot to do with Dowie really.
  21. Overall reflections Done really well considering the inevitable soap opera every season. A real sense of determanation in the side, something we havn't had for years. Really happen with this current crop, think the club has genuinely gotten under their skin. The icing would be put on the cake if we could finish in the top half. High moment Nolan scoring his third against the Mackems to make it 5. After the abuse they had hoyed at us for 18 month, that felt so, so sweet. The noise in the stadium is something that will live with me forever. Low moment Hughton getting sacked, me convinced we were going to get Kinnear back. Really feared relegation then. Fair play to Pardew though Best player Coloccini by a million miles. As I said yesterday, our most important player bar none. Best individual performance Carroll v Villa. The game when we all knew he was going to be a special player. The big greasy bastard. Best buy Perch obviously. Most improved Tough one, between Simpson and Barton.
