  1. Almost feels like we are playing a diamond with Isak as a 10. Gordon and Barnes are staying really high and quite narrow.

    Joelinton

That £37,000,000 share we just sold makes me wonder. New contract for Joelinton until end of June 2028. From next week there'll be 219 weeks until then. £37,000,000 / 219 = £168,949
  3. that's unbelievable, like. Got it out of his feet so quickly and still managed to put all that power and placement in.
  4. They need to stick someone more positive on for Kovacic. There are too many control/pausa players on the pitch and not enough risk takers.
  5. Rodri really has had a mare here so far. Never seen him give the ball away as much.
  6. Dias is really not good this season.
  7. Foden and Haaland totally anonymous so far
  8. that’s why Walker is so important to City
  9. https://fbref.com/en/players/c3cf087d/scout/365_m2/Yankuba-Minteh-Scouting-Report When you compare how he is performing compared to other wingers in the 14 leagues outside the top 5 it's absolutely ridiculous, mind. He excels at pretty much everything (he's even 99th percentile for tackles won in a team that averages 61.6% possession ffs ); with his weakness being that he gives the ball away a lot.
  10. I've said it before but I really like the way he controls the ball and squares up to the defender in a way that makes it look like he can go either inside or outside. Something you see top wingers like Saka do, and obviously he has that ridiculous acceleration to go with it. I think his decision making will be frustrating in the PL but he's still only had like less than 2 years of coaching in Europe I think? Hopefully he will improve in that regard quickly. I think we'd be daft not to have him in the squad next season given our right wing options currently. He has arguably already played to a higher level than both Murphy and Almiron this season.
  11. really, really like Murillo. Exactly the right profile for us - could play CB or LB, and would be much better playing in a pressing/proactive team than for a passive team like Forest.
  12. how do these terrorists keep getting away with it, man
  13. A decent player scores that
  14. Diaz is nowhere near good enough for Liverpool imo
  15. right foot for both the assist and the goal? He looks like a really bright talent tbh
  16. given that Spurs haven't had any Europe to contend with and they went out of both cups pretty much as early as possible yet they're still only 5th in the league, I find the wankfest over Postecoglu more than a bit tiresome to be honest. Would be nice to humble them at SJP again.
  17. Obviously he needs a lot more development but in terms of profile Miley is the right kind of player to play with those two imo. Let Bruno and Tonali do the bulk of the defensive work and Miley is there to play the final pass in more of a Maddison role.

    Harvey Barnes

extremely clinical player. Just feels like if you can get him the ball within 12 yards of goal it’s more likely than not to result in him creating or scoring.

    Lewis Hall

I feel like there's something wrong with our defensive structure where we regularly leave our full backs isolated 2 v 1 if the opposition attacks with both full backs, mind. Burn, Trippier, Hall and Livramento have all had tough games because of it. Doesn't happen in the left back area as much when Joelinton is in the team, and I'm sure Longstaff and Almiron were both better at getting back to help last season too.

    Lewis Hall

Hall was at Chelsea from being 8 years old
  21. we need to make stuff like that from Ben White a straight red card

    Lewis Hall

bit confused as to why he's never played in midfield given that he clearly looks much more like a midfield player than a defender, but I do like his qualities on the ball. Needs an awful lot of 1v1 work if he's to play full back long-term though.
  23. I think that's absolutely absurd. Lamptey clearly got the ball Like honestly, it's well dodgy.
