why are we bidding €5m more if both bids are going to be accepted our negotiating team are generationally awful
-
the best scenario is we keep Isak and sign Wissa, Man U get Sesko and fall afoul of ffp because they can't sell anyone.
-
yes, but you don’t put yourself in that position unless you are stupid because - as we’ve should know more than most - everyone knows you desperately need to sell and they can take advantage. You end up having to sell players you don’t want to. Nobody sensible is going to give them a decent fee for Garnacho given that they’ve made it obvious he isn’t part of the squad and they’ve desperately want shot of him. Will end up being another loan with an option for someone like Rashford.

if Man reds sign him they’ll be in ffp bother, surely. They were close to it this season and they’ve no saleable assets

cheering Everton goals in a preseason game, think I’m ill

Tel is so bad btw . Can’t believe they made that one permanent after his displays last season.

I feel like us seemingly being content with having 5 midfielders in the squad (one of them being permanently injured) implies to me that we might be playing a different system a lot of the time this season with a 2-man midfield. If that were the case we need 3 strikers minimum in the squad really.

yellow ticker time, baby

he’s looked really involved and happy in most of the pre-season photos/clips I’ve seen. Could be really important in the dressing room this season I think, even more so than usual.

I’m not convinced at all by what I’ve seen of Sesko, but the one thing that makes me excited by it is Eddie Howe. If there’s a player there then Eddie will get everything out of him.

the way this window is going it just feels likely we’re probably being used to draw a bid out from Man U

man, I really wish we’d sold him before Longstaff
