On the flip side, Villa only won 2 of the last 11 games that Beale was there for, in fairness. He may have contributed a lot to the winning coaching setups, but must take some responsibility for them being shite too, especially when Gerrard doesn’t do much coaching himself.

Ref didn’t play their usual 9 minutes extra time, or until they score?

Neil Lennon sacked by Nicosia due to poor league form.

Bruce was clearly only looking out for ASMs hamstrings when he was giving the squad all those days off.
-
Saw the other day that the Castore deal is until 2024, but it’s been publicised that Eames is having a meeting with them soon (hopefully with the possibility of ending it early).
-
We lost 4-1 against Leicester away last season, and also obviously Cambridge in the cup.
-
No words other than awful. The sooner we can bin Castore off from whatever contract we’re in, the better.

I don’t understand why anyone involved in professional football would think about either Tuchel or Pochettino for Forest. I’m all for ambition and doing the best that you can, but those particular names for that club at this moment in time are ludicrous imo. Surely anyone could see it was unrealistic?
-
Given they’ve won 1, drawn 2 and lost 7 since the start of the season, and the outlay they had in the summer, something had to give. That would either be Cooper and his coaching team, or the internal scouting/signing department. The owner has obviously decided that Cooper isn’t to blame, given the way they got promoted last year, and instead has gone for the sacking the head scout/DOF route to try and change things. It was fairly obvious given their scattergun and illogical summer recruitment that they were to blame, and not the manager, imo. I’m not sure on the Forest recruitment method and whether it follows our ‘committee’ type, but from the sackings it would suggest Cooper didn’t have much, or the final say on things?

Dyche should be in running for the West Brom job too, unless I’ve missed him going anywhere?

Spend Christmas away watching the cricket then he’ll rock up at a desperate struggling club after New Year to ‘turn it around with his 1000 game knowledge’ (despite allegedly talking retirement through with Mrs Bruce…but coming to the conclusion that it’s ‘in his blood’) and if he doesn’t, then can’t be blamed as he won’t have ‘been given the time to change things’. -
Disallowed. That’s a shit decision.
-
Got a move, but not the one that he wanted so his head is down and performance is suffering. Plus I’m not sure that Moyes knows how best to use him.

“Well, ya knaa, wor hands were tied by Mike. I wanted the lad from Leicester for two years but Mike wouldn’t have it- he would’ve brought a real graft to the midfield - and also wanted Elmo in…a real professional, who would’ve brought experience and leadership to the dressing room. Plus there was no room for Alex on the staff- I wanted him to be a go between for me and the fans an that so they would understand the club better and not blame me for all the poor results… the fella from Bournemouth has come in and been handed a chequebook and a blank canvas which ah wuz never given before I got the push…ah never got a fair chance there…”

Make sure you watch the second rate Bruno a week Sunday…

Saka would be classed as extraordinary I guess….although he’s on the verge of signing a new contract, supposedly.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

I’m sure that he CAN play wide, but he’d be wasted there imo, and especially when a dedicated wide player would be both better and is also a priority. -

Good section from the recent Athletic article about it all: “A leading European agent, who asked not to be named to safeguard their connections, admitted toThe Athletic that he would not have considered sending his players to Newcastle previously but their attractiveness has increased hugely to his clients. The other agent believes that is due to “serious people” like Ashworth now being in situ and increased ambition. Pre-takeover, neither Botman nor Guimaraes would have countenanced joining. “Until they get European football, they won’t attract the very best,” the agent says. “But more players are increasingly seeing Newcastle as an intriguing destination.”” -

At least our saving grace was that he didn’t employ his waster son at our club. Imagine having to pay off two Bruces! -

“I hope I’m given time to turn it round…” you’ve already turned it round you fraud, going from a playoff team to a relegation placed one.
