Not being funny, but you’ve been pretty defensive about Forests 21 signings and their scattergun approach, yet call Chelsea’s 9 signings “too much recruitment” and “doesn’t seem to have been that well thought out”? I know NFFC needed signings after a lot of loan players went back to parent clubs, but they’ve been FAR worse in recruitment than Chelsea imo.

He last won a cap over three years ago. A transfer to Villa didn’t occur because of how he played there on loan (shite). He hasn’t been selected for Chelsea, seemingly because he simply wasn’t good enough. At coming up to 29, sadly, he’s seemingly done man. We’re not the club to resurrect his career. Being given away by Chelsea, he should be being snapped up by a lower PL team hoping to hit lucky, or a good championship team even, but even that’s not currently happening. I can see the likes of Rangers taking a punt.

Barkley is 28, been at Chelsea for four years, and been shite for the vast majority of that time. To say he would be our best midfielder if he hit his dizzying heights of four/five years ago is pretty fanciful, to say the least. We have neither the time, nor the necessity to try and rebuild shattered careers. As with Dele Alli, I hope we stay well away.
