  1. Dear god of course the country deals with them, i didn't support us selling them jets to bomb yemen with and yet it happens because you know they dont consult me much. Why is it so hard to understand not wanting to support a murderous regime in the one way available to me in giving them money same way i try not to support ashley by not giving him money. Honestly I am conflicted but the fact that the british state does business with saudi arabia doesnt mean i 'support' that, however I do acknowledge that it is frankly unreasonable and unrealistic to demand ethical standards from sport yet alone everywhere my money goes and I suspect I will break and enjoy loads of money for a bit but it is pretty sour. Also, it is not going to happen anyway
  2. Saudi Arabia and Israel already share business ties. So do we for that matter, and Trump went out of his way to back MBS even after the murder of Khashoggi. Buying Newcastle would probably be an effort to improve the Saudi image abroad. If we can benefit from that rather than some other club like Leeds, I would rather it be us. Yes indeed and both Saudi Arabia and Israel are fairly aligned against Iran. Real Politik will always Trump supposed religious differences
  3. already heard ashley pissed off this has leaked right? Classic case again that someone bids, ashley says he'll think about it (meaning no, he's holding out for 7000000000 or something ridiculous he'll never get), bidder gets excited assuming ashley is reasonable and will sell at a reasonable compromise of valuations, ashley closes it down because he's not interested. This. Is. Not. Going. To. Happen.
  4. For the record, I think if Ashley had the money and power of MBS he would totally be worse (no not excusing MBS who is clearly vile)
  5. He's responsible for the team not being competant enough to break down the defense of a League 1 side. Yes it's not his fault players sometimes fluff chances but we were rubbish and we have been rubbish for a while. It's one thing to be rubbish against premier league opposition but when there's no improvement against shit teams? He promised front foot attacking football at teh start, completely misjudging the quality of the squad, and then when he does have a superior team he still can't get the team either pumped up enough to play proper or just trained to pass the ball to each other at any speed. Yes players deserve blame, but so does he.
  6. Remember when Bruce promised front foot attacking football
  7. having international projects is seen as good publicity to make the regime look modern and outwood looking. Meanwhile MBS is murderous leading one of the most repressive regimes on the planet. The idea owning a football club would help democratize Saudi Arabia is mad, instead it's just to distract from all the killing journalists, blackmailing Jeff Bezos and excecutions at home. Now it may be flawed, it may not really improve his image, but I can't say it won't all be a pretty messed up situation
  8. Honestly even if the interest is real more than likely every time the deal looks done ashley will knock the price up another £20m until they give up
  9. If it was legitimate it won't take long as would be kept under wraps till agreements basically reached, anything dragging on is just time wasters wanting media attention for some reason. However, I can't emphasize this enough, we've been here before, it's not going to happen
  10. I mean there's a bit dodgy and there's chopping up a prominent journalist in an embassy It would be difficult to be honest, I would like to pretend I would be totally honorable and not enjoy the club being super rich...but I think I'd have to enjoy it a little bit... However, this absolutely will not happen, Ashley will not sell.
  11. Can't wait till he lets us know what religion the Pope is next
  12. Well if he does by us don't give the club your mobile number...

to be fair Bruce is handling ASM well if he really does have an attitude problem. Classic case of player on cheap cos managers don't like it but to be fair to Bruce (Shudder) one thing is clear is players do like him. We clearly do need midfielders since ours can't keep ball or are really to young to be relied upon game in game out. Ki deserves more time mind but doubt we'll see him
  14. Has he seen us this season?
  15. Love a good ridiculous hand ball Bournemouth are surely down, just cant see that team improving enough. I do like howe and they have played well in past but too reliant on basically championship players who work well in system. Poor recruitment seems to have caught up with them.
  16. This is why these kind of results are so terrible. We are not defending well. We literally have the whole team sitting in our own box the whole game. Just because the team with all the initiative doesn't end up managing to open us up, that doesn't make it good defending! We are not offering a damned thing going forward. We do not contribute anything to the game. We then end up scrambling a goal in from a set piece after one great ball from ASM, and this is acceptable?! No not for me. Never. It's the expectations isn't it, we've gone from under Rafa being underresourced trying to build something and develop a team to scrappy underdogs under Bruce who are doing brilliantly and have heart by simply not being bottom of the table mostly through luck. They changed the narrative, we are a shit Stoke under pulis now and are expected to (and sadly a lot are) happy with the odd terribly flukey win and such and the style of football, the actual ambition of the team etc etc matter not. We've gone from a team everyone says should be top half and blaming Rafa for struggling to a team that should be in league 1 and praising brucey for keeping us in contention for staying up.
  17. I really want to do some side by side comparisons of how when Rafa got wins like this defensively (and sorry, better looking defense) and got monstered in press for negatively, and the inevitable love in of good old Brewcie's army of loveable underdogs with heart I am, for the record, happy because I will never ever not enjoy Chelsea losing.
  18. Not a real fan if you don't shop in Tesco to be fair
