  1. Really good, wish his touch didn't let him down with that chance though.
  2. He's alright, willing runner, always makes sure he is available to help attacks on that side and does defensive work to cover for Ritchie's lack of pace. He is not super reliable defensively but his pace covers cracks. We've had plenty of worse right backs and he seems likeable and commited to the Rafa project so I like him. Certainly there is room for improvement and we should have signed cover at the least, but not the 1st priority to sign a replacement for.
  3. Wolves look like any side that seriously harries them are going to give them problems. Could prove me wrong but doubt they're suddenly going to burst into top half.
  4. I want Muto and Perez on the pitch at the same time, if Muto is as willing a runner and helps close down Perez will look better with someone else doing it, more bother for opponents and would have someone to give the ball to rather than running around like a headless chicken a mile in front of the rest of the team
  5. Pretty much agree with this, maybe rate Shelvey little higher, he made a lot of good balls that were maybe unlucky not to result in something. Diame was excellent second half would maybe raise him to a 7 but yes poor first half. Atsu was as bad as I've ever seen him. The sub i assumed was because Ritchie was running out of steam and making silly fouls but it definitely was a mistake in retrospect. Joselu was good tbh, took his goal, yes should score it but can't hold that against him, did his job, and that pass releasing kennedy should have resulted in a goal.
  6. Another unlucky loss to spurs. I would be pretty encouraged by that performance still but the yedlin injury if bad will seriously hurt us. Atsu was turboshite. New signings looked good.
  7. I want Muto and perez playing at the same time, perez gets so much stick because he is alone harrying the defense and when he gets the ball he is outnumbered. Two willing runners pressuring high should improve us a lot
  8. Not going to argue he had a good game but perez did have a snap shot that was well saved after Kennedy fluffed his good chance
  9. Not having that, joselu may be largely useless thought he's had a good game today no need
  10. God remember the pardew days when we would have rolled over and accepted defeat the whole second half
  11. Actually Fernández will replace Clark immediately if schar needs slowly easing in
  12. Yep need one ball playing cb at this level. Hopefully Shar displaces Clark soon
  13. We were better towards the end of the half but hardly that threatening, and they look dangerous every time the get around the box. Spurs will beat better teams than us but hardly a confidence inspiring start. Not disastrous either but wish we'd bought a proper high quality midfielder as diame really looks poor. Ki could of course be adequate but hardly improving team hugely

    Rafa Benítez

one of Wellers best imo- tho its a takeaway curry. You're right of course been a while and memory warped. Makes more sense I suppose.
  15. commentators describing this as a 'huge win' for Man U. It's first game of the season. Against Leicester.

    Rafa Benítez

it is a good song like, although in it his wife is waiting at home having cooked a curry for him and set the table, bit odd after midnight if you ask me.
  17. Of course Rafa isn't happy and of course nothing good long term will happen with Ashley in charge and absolutely action needs to be taken to try and dislodge him, and I think boycotts etc are probably justified. Thing is though Rafa fucking loves managing. if he left he'd probably have to wait for a few months to get another premier league job, then he'd have to get to know the players etc etc and who knows what, no time for any preparation. He clearly wants to at least enjoy another season before leaving head held high. No him staying isn't going to bring on the apocalypse that may force Ashley out or at least get more fans properly on side. But we have one more season of this and I can't hate him for that. He loves the crowds, loves the city, loves the club, probably reasonably doesn't want his last season tarnished by continual crowd discontent. I will support the team while he is in charge at least from afar, dunno if I'll go to any games or not, prefer not to give Ashley any more money. Yes he is prolonging it, yes it's a difficult situation, but lets not start calling Rafa out for not quitting, he loves the job, the players love him, let him have his swansong.
