  1. they've just misread the offer, they assumed £23 meant £23m, more fool them
  2. People are deluded that this squad is capable of much at all. I struggle to get angry at the players it's like buying a car for £10 off some bloke you met on bigg market called Kev and expecting it to do well in a race. Out best players are in defense, the rest is cobbled together. Joselu is terrible but what do you expect, you get what you pay for

    Jordan Lukaku

To cover the costs of the medical to be honest we need to sell Lejeune and Schar before end of window

    Jordan Lukaku

I hope it's because Mike Ashley was too busy choking to death to ok the transfer

    Rafa Benítez

It's been clear for practically a year he was only going to stay with investment why do people act surprised? He has always been very clear that he will stay if investment matched his ambition and not if otherwise.
  7. Fucking hell why not fly commercial
  8. Rafa conditioning the squad for a strong second half the season worked wonders last season, I imagine the plan is the same. The only issue is Shelvey started firing all cylinders at that point, he seems a long way from that now.
  9. Personally what would make sense rather than trying to bend some rule to punish leeds for it when they haven't done anything clearly wrong by the rules, put it forward as a league rule for the clubs to vote on come end of season.
  10. No that's exactly it though. It is kinda not on but it's not massive investigate Leeds, talk about points deduction, call them massive cheaters not on.
  11. Niasse isn't a solution to any issue to be honest
  12. I think some people are living in some mad world where it's a game between honourable gentlemen who meet up every saturday for a fair and even match and then go for a friendly pint after. It's a competitive league between unequal competitors who take every advantage possible, like spending way more than opponents, like diving to win penalties or get other players sent off, like trying to break other teams legs, like try and psyche out opposition managers but you know proper research on opposition from a perfectly legal vantagepoint over the training ground is JUST NOT ON
  13. Fucking christ it's Huddersfield man  Done fucking wonders for them even if I find him annoying. Have you seen them play, most, if not all, the players are mid tier championship at best (like quite a lot of ours)
  14. Not sure I'd have him back but do agree 100% with how bad our midfield is and getting a few seasoned vets on the cheap would not be a bad idea all things considering. Ashley won't buy anyone though, especially not someone over 26.
  15. To be fair probably got plenty of experience of being royally fucked by total wankers
  16. I've said this before but it should not be a surprise that any wannabe investors who do due diligence alight on similar valuations for the club, of course they will try and low ball but 100m is a hell of a large gap in valuations. I still do not believe Ashley has any intentions to sell at anything but a ludicrous overvaluing of the club. Few investors will be willing to go anywhere near 100m above where they think something they are buying is worth, they would have to be mad. Of course Mike Ashley's valuation may be theoretically fair, but the more investors who look at the club and come to the £200m valuation the more that seems like you know the actual market value (maybe closer to £230m or something factoring in them trying to lowball it). Investors, dealing with normal sane business men presume good faith on Ashley;s part and the high valuation will come down. He has no good faith and it will not.
  17. Leeds' Statement  Look I agree it's a bit off and can understand why Lampard is upset, however it is a) not massively unfair as it is as available for Derby to do as for Leeds and all competitive sport is about gaining an advantage, this is just going to great lengths to do so, b) dwarfed by the dishonesty and poor behavior endemic throughout the leagues, (and I'm willing to bet it's not actually that unusual to be spying on other training grounds) and c) not I'm guessing that effective, yes they learned a player wouldn't be available but so what, Leeds were substantially better than Derby on the pitch and sorry that is 99% about the general conditioning tactics and form of the players. It is also the funniest thing to happen in the league for a while and to be honest I doubt the football league will be greatly upset for the publicity. It is at worst a slap on the wrist crime not worthy of huge great moral fulminations for.
  18. I'm not saying he can't gain an advantage by spying on the training, I'm saying it's an advantage available to derby too and it's not actually against the rules. Competitive sport is about gaining advantages over other teams and of all the slightly underhand ways of doing it this is pretty fucking mild and again, not actually against the rules.
  19. This, it's not worth getting upset over when some teams are given vast sums and others have to scrape by. Players are bought and sold from under managers just to undermine them and managers are constantly trying to influence referees with mind games etc etc
  20. I mean it's like saying watching back all the previous teams TV matches to learn their tactics is unfair if the other manager hasn't thought to do the same
