It would need more than one of the bottom teams to go on a good run for us to need 40 points

Very poor from City. Think Sane was their main outlet and was very poor with decision making at last moment throughout. Lacked any killer instinct. Liverpool were absolutely ruthless.

every time i look he's misplaying that final pass. Been really poor.

Pep's one big problem is he doesn't half run right onto the odd counter attacking sword now and then. Needs to be quality counter attacking teams but he refuses to sit deeper. To his credit in some ways but seems a bit odd at this level

Still don't quite know what was going on under McClaren. He must have lost the dressing room completely almost straight away. Sissoko and Wijnaldum's lack of professionalism in essentially never showing up is shocking. I still can't believe that his plan to use us to get a bigger contract elsewhere worked considering his utterly terrible performances for us. We should really have sent him to train with the u21s to destroy his reputation rather than persist with him. McClaren is just a charlatan.

Definitely, albeit when Tarkowski is getting a call up from Burnley it's probably not that Southgate doesn't want to check anyone out beyond the usual suspects. He has earned a chance in the set up and more than anything I think he needs a season not in a relegation battling side which hopefully will be us next season.

Someone I met once was talking about cities where the economy tanks, anyone with sense leaves and those that are left go totally batshit insane and full of conspiracy theories about whats gone wrong, rather than actually working it out and or helping do anything about it.

Aim for next season should be comfortable mid-table without any relegation fears and much better cup run. Even if we're taken over really.

Ah, so that's what happened to Gael Bigirimana and why he went from decent midfielder to not good enough for league one. Aaaah the old play a player out of position then blame him for the bad performance manoeuvre I love how his entire plan for attacking football is just play 3 strikers. Also lost his wallet on that spanish pissup with only 3 hours training

I don't think this mistakes would be tolerable without Lascelles being both in form and willing to sit a bit further back and be more out and out defender. Alongside another defender who wants to advance and play ball forwards a bit riskily would be asking for trouble. As it is there is a good balance developing, I'm fairly confident he will get better at judging his passing too.

It still amuses me how unused to the concept of a manager actually improving his players I still am. It really shouldn't be this much of a surprise
-
He'll be telling people he didn't have enough time and would have kept them up in no time

I know, i just couldn't see that from where i was so looked like a backpass, especially since the crowd nearby clearly thought it was. The guy was being snide presuming we didn't know the rules and not the reason mate asked me if was a backpass was cos we didn't have clear views
-
To be fair me and mate I was at the game with disagreed on him, I thought he made a few errors but was largely solid and really helped get the ball forward, mate thought he gave it away too many times.

They’ve had 9. 5 PL seasons you’d have to go back for us to reach that No mystery in it, most of last 5 pl seasons we were never in the opponents penalty area
-
Would just like to say to the guy at half time who corrected me and mate that it wasnt a backpass at end of first half that the goalie picked up and that it came off shins, we were literally in the worst place in crowd to get a good view of it, couldnt see the screen, no need to go "helps if you know the rules of the game" at us
-
Can be a very frustrating player but i think it's natural that he's looked better recently when we've been pressing more with the whole team. In the past when we've been deep he can be running around alone like a headless chicken, with support his nuisance causing is effective.
-
Was immense, couldn't tell great from where I was, did he go off injured? Hope not bad
-
Kane has everything, got to be first choice. Dunno how you would fit them both in though as Vardy would definitely suit playing against teams who will press high.

I do wonder if Rafa goes to pastures new he may follow
-
At my most pessimistic if anything is going to get Rafa to walk it will be having Lascelles sold from under him for £15m. I don't think he is stupid enough to jump ship to west ham of all places, though he would get a better wage. Anyway doubt any current rumours about anyone are hugely accurate.
