  1. All the suspicion of the 3 at the back for Chelsea this game has proved silly, Chelsea have always got a spare man at the back to sweep up when Leceister try and get the ball up early, never threatened by their usual ploy. Leicester need Mahrez to turn up.

Liverpool fan at work says he got in a massive huff and complained to anyone who would listen that no-one would pass to him just after they won that tie against Dortmund

Heard from a friend of a friend who is his neighbour that he is a nice lad and reasonably down to earth Pretty dubious myself

it's old bad defence making a keeper do a lot of saves and thus look good, see Tim Howard at world cup
  6. He could have waited for a job at a more stable premier league team, but he picked us knowing it was a tough ask to keep us up, we should probably not be too worried about how odd it is and just take the compliment
  7. I also suspect that all this rotation they talk about is why he sticks so strongly to 4-2-3-1, if players are all coming and going he wants it to basically be sure they will always know exactly what the team is doing. I do think it's a shame we aren't sticking 2 up top for at least home games though.
  8. One thing is, that the press and even the way a lot of clubs including us for a long time are totally wedded to the idea that on the pitch performance is soley tied to the manager himself and the players. All the backroom stuff is less important. We were such a shambles internally for so long and sour feeling among the fans that everything suffered. Just lifting the club up so all the details are done properly improves a lot.

Absolutely shocking, actually made me feel sorry for Allardyce

 as i posted earlier genuinely forgot he existed till heard his name on radio about Stoke game
  11. Spurs playing prooperly well, proper match too

oddly I think based on current form the england team could be pretty tasty, a midfield of alli dier and lallana behind a front three of walcott sterling and rashford looks pretty strong
  13. I think a big part of the problem has been how little Diame is contributing goal and assist wise, I'm sure Rafa must be sure he's opening up space for gayle to justify his inclusion but right now a player in one of our attacking positions is not chipping in much.

Every year it's the year they go down and every year they scrape a winning run together in March that saves them, abelit will hurt not getting 6 points from us. if they do go down don't think they'll make it up in a long time, there's definitely something rotten at the heart of the Club and they need a total reform of everything
  15. Had very genuinely forgotten that Glenn Johnson existed
  16. The quality of punditry is so bad on channel 5, one pundit's analysis of the goal was literally "he cut inside and scored" and then they basically said Rotherham were unlucky because they had 2 decent chances not mentioning any of the chances we missed too. Rotherham never really looked that likely to score.
  17. Perez can were he to rediscover any of his form
  18. Not impossible there was a concern he was at risk of injury, pretty sure Rafa will be one of those managers who trusts those predictive data analytic programmes that work out if a player is likely to imminently get injured.
  19. Not a chance everyone else will keep it up, we're on course to be fine at the moment but just need to keep improving. Norwich I think will keep up and around the top, think Huddersfield will drop off possibly next year though. Their high press style always does well early in seasons then fitter and deeper squads than them get exhausted by Februaryish. Other teams will race up the table later. We have the squad to keep the pace going, things we need to be concerned about are our goal scoring, I think we aren't putting away as many chances as we are getting. Fitness of Shelvey is also important as don't think we have another creative central mid.
  20. Still so many teams within a few points behind us, just a couple of losses away from Norwich and Huddersfield running out of sight if they keep it up. Long run not too important, reckon we have more legs than the others but still would really like to have a bigger gap below us.
  21. Meh don't want too much shuffling at the back
  22. Colback was ok today. Which for him is an outstanding performance, it won't be replicated often
