  1. shit Bruno kicking isak in the chest already
  2. Gah nervous. Could well be sunk by Rashford but good chance if the defence can keep them out
  3. Hmmm if you send him on to be pure destroyer and tell bruno to play a lot further forward is an option
  4. Absolutely but equally he'd be daft not to have as many options open as he can
  5. I am not sure 'leading the race' months before the transfer window opens counts for much tbh
  6. I dunno where I stand with Rodgers, used to think he was an absolute fraud, and had little sympathy with him whinging over the summer when I thought he was just looking for a payoff, but covid destroyed their owners income stream didn't it, and resulted in no money for a while. Equally you look at his league finishes till this season and cup runs and actually pretty solid stuff with the team. Problem is if you find not quite trying hard enough to get to champions league sort of level enough, or if it's quite soulless after their league win to just aim for the middle. Having said that you need resources to geniuinely challenge for champions league and it was probably a pipe dream they could ever maintain even close to that. They have been very poor this season, and from their fans Rodgers has not really helped himself despite lack of investment. Seemed to be very negative on his own players for a while. Not sure if his reputation has completely gone down the bin considering the limitations though.
  7. The job is obviously extremely stressful and i reckon it takes a hell of a toll and plays some part in making the managers become twatish. Not everyone can be Ancellotti I do find them both tedious often but i'd probably soften if they were coaching us lol. Klopp probably wound me up enough for me to not want him mind
  8. City on top but perfectly vulnerable to a good counter still, reckon liverpool will nick this tbh
  9. That's them following the rules though. I am sure there will be punishment but I doubt (and I will be impressed if I am wrong) they would ever have any punishment that would result in them being kicked out the leage
  10. Tiresias

    Fabian Schär

Quite impressive from a man who suffers a brain injury weekly
  11. Unfortunately I suspect they will keep getting away with it because ultimately la liga are not going to have the balls to significantly punish them as they will be seen as integral to the brand, and thus will bail them out of whatever mess they get in even with a lot of grumbling. I loved Peps' Barca, some of the best football I'd ever seen up till then, and yet now a) that is tainted by bribing the fucking refs and b) oh wait no just they bribed the fucking refs (allegedly lol) All that sanctimonius crap they always bang on about being more than just a club rather stripped bare. Of course part o the problem is that there is huge pressure on european clubs to keep up with the premier league mega spending, but Barca cannot whinge when you look at how much they have spent on crap transfers
  12. Player who has been on our radar for a while is still on our radar which means little anywhere. I still think there should be a transfer news blackout, then the start of the season the new squads should be unveiled all at once by them jumping out of dry ice as a surprise.
  13. Guess that's with money saved from not bribing refs anymore
  14. It's not an unreasonable point but interesting not including cost of the respective benchs, what with Sancho on there... :P
  15. Hmmm if his injury record was better would be happy with him as an option to thicken out the squad. With his injury record I would be very dubious
  16. Considering he is facing a substantial long term ban for betting on games it is questionable he should be being given a shot to be honest. I guess there is confidence he will get like a 10 game ban or something and basically won't affect his internationals? If I were say Ollie Watkins who is seems to be quietly building a run of form for Villa right now and i havent bet on hundreds of matches i may be a little annoyed
  17. don't think so, you can google it you know
  18. i say all that nice stuff about saka and he makes that shot lol
  19. I think if willocks carries on improving as he has been certainly could look to an england spot, however he very much continues the problem with england midfields, we produce midfielders who like to burst forward, create overloads, eat up the yards with the ball, we do not create ones who can slow down the game, keep the ball or are particularly creative. People want England to play like Man City but we can't with the players we have.
  20. I think the +1 in the centre is an issue, I am not 100% convinced by rice, I have definitely seen him play like the real deal and has been solid for england, but I don't know if he is really 'world class'. Bellingham I have not seen enough of but has really impressed me, and if all the raving is true then he should be there. Then after that who is there? Henderson is too old tbh, Philips may have fucked his career with man city move, may get it back but we'll see. After that? You need some depth but in midfield i don't think we have any. People are critical of Southgate, including me but we do not have a midfield who can play possession based football. Tomori by all acounts had a worldie of a seaosn when milan won league and has been rubbish ever since so doubt that.
  21. Disagree to be honest, I think he is fouled a lot and one of his most appealing qualities is how much he rides the challenges, something oldschool in him running with chunks being taken out of him
