  1. If we were selling Bruno I would expect us to aim higher. If he was relatively cheap would be an absolutely fine squad option
  2. Team of the season Ederson Trippier Saliba Botman Estupinian Rhodri De Bruyne Joelinton Mitoma Haaland Saka (Honourable mentions to Stones, Bruno G, Kane, MacAllister, Oedegaard and plenty more) Player of the season: Haaland (Hate to do so, kinda dull but he is so far ahead of anyone else in his position I just can't see past it) Young player of the season: Saka (Ferguson honourable mention) Manager: Eddie Howe (Honourable mention to De Zerbi, Emery and Gary O'Neil) Underrated players of the season: Schar, Jacob Ramsey, Lewis Dunk, Paulinha Overrated players of the season: Lisandro Martinez, Eric Dier, Trent Alexander Arnold, the whole Chelsea team
  3. Trippier at the end there shirtless but still with the captains armband on lol
  4. Interesting vid of the tactical switch after the league cup that resulted in us conceding more but getting better results
  5. Looking forward to it! It is going to be a balancing act, I love this squad, there are going to be hard decisions and people who have done great left behind or leave, but I want it to grow organically as they have done so far. I wonder if some are going to be disappointed with it, next season is very conceivably going to be harder going in the league, Man U will be better, Liverpool will be better, Chelsea could be better (doubt it tbh) and Villa and Brighton could both be better. Hopefully we have a deeper squad with still the same positivity.
  6. I remember when he joined and said he wanted Champions League football I kinda thought "well maybe in 3 or 4 seasons, he might help get us there but by then he may be off anyway" What the hell has happened? Madness!
  7. Can't wait to see him fresh, ankle healed and not having to take all the weight of the team in europe in a few months!
  8. So...where's our super league invitation?
  9. Didn't take it as that though, we have spent a fair amount of money just not obscene, and on paper the squad doesnt compare with spurs, liverpool or chelsea, it's just paper lies and this squad is more than sum of parts and proven they deserve to be considered on that level. Quite agree with Neville (ffs) that we are ahead of schedule, got to guard against impatience, I would hate people demanding howe out if we are only finishing 6th due to too many games or something.
  10. Was Elliott Anderson stood next to an enormous woman in the background there?
  11. Love eddie pointing out what he did with bournemouth, gets forgotten what he did there and should get more respect for that
  12. Rather dreading when we're so good this is every game like lol
  13. I agree League play may suffer and until we have proper strength in depth top 4 isn't going to be guaranteed but it's Europe let's have fun
  14. Really hard, went with Tripps just for leadership really
  15. It's cause Vini is right, Spain has severe racism problem evidence in institutional resistance to such criticism. I would say tell him to come to Newcastle where he'll be loved but Sterling etc do have to put up with a hell of a lot of shit too so glass houses and all (to clarify i mean nationwide, not singling us out lol)
  16. If City win champions league, which feels fairly likely I actually am not sure if Pep will last much longer, it's clearly his big goal with the club, as is owners. What is there to go for? Try for an unbeaten season? He got restless after getting Barca to their peak. Who knows. City will probably be dominant for the next few years. Can see Arsenal recementing themselves a top 4 team but doubt they will have another creditable title bid (could be wrong). Man U aren't any better than where they are that, if they get bought by Qatar as is rumoured they may but that will take a lot of time. Chelsea are going to be a clownshow for a while. Liverpool probably back a lot closer next season. We are still a few years out of a proper title bid. I wouldn't be shocked if we drop out of top 4 next year with european stresses (I am fairly relaxed about this, we are a work in progress and overachieved but i do fear there will be a bit of anger from some quarters). City will have to adequately replace Gundogan this summer, and De Bruyne soon. I imagine they will remain imperious next season and then it will be time to transition the team again. From how they are run unfortunately can just see them staying where they are. This is all if they don't get chucked out the league for cheating (lolol they will get a fine and move on)
