Ben Arfa might react badly to being told he should play further out wide and long ball it in, or told he's just an impact sub, being told he should do amazing s*** more consistently is probably music to his ears, it tells him he's going to get more game time than he got last season, he's going to be allowed to be creative and he's not lacking the self belief that he can do it.

I don't think he was so much off form at Liverpool as much as in a team not built to his strengths under a manager who had no tactical awareness. Here we have the awareness I expect but anyone to deliver balls from out wide?

I just read into that equivalent that the money would be spent on someone as good, not spent on several cheaper players etc. May be cheaper just seems to imply they wouldn't shirk from spending the profits straight away

I like his honesty that a player could be sold for a silly fee but glad to hear they'd go for a like for like replacement with silly money, buying a load of cheap players is alright but can stutter success. Still if we inflate as much as usual likely we'd find a decent mid-point. Sounds like he expects to lose no-one though.

If Raylor had any kind of movement he'd be alright, as is he can just about pass mustard wherever and chips in with a few free kick and long distance goals. Seems a bit of a throwback to teh Nolan and Barton era now. Can't fault him for being willing to do as asked or indeed effort etc
