  1. I do like this but it has one major flaw, Raylor holding the entire left wing by himself with no help from anyone Well he wouldn't be. It's hard to demonstrate the movement of players when all i've got is a keyboard. The whole point of that formation is that players roles would be varied, and the whole set-up generally more fluid. Yh iam aware of that, Jonas would obviously go out to help but that would mean there would be instances where we are stretched to an extent we could be easy to get through. I am all for this type of formation but i dont think Raylor at fullback is the answer he needs constant attention at all times. Also he would be the one providing the width on the left hand side in this system and i dont see him being able to do that and do his job defensively. Stick Santon out there, ok he had a horror show against Arsenal but he is fantastic providing the width going forward and usually he does a decent job defensively, not a Enrique level of defensive prowess but decent enough. I'd keep Simpson in at RB for one is he's a much better defender than Raylor, i actually thought he had a very good game against Arsenal up until the 90th minute. Ox was subbed because of how well he marshalled him. I really do like the system, i myself have actually posted in other threads that long term this is how we should go, but iam not confident in Raylor at LB providing the width and no Jonas to attend to his every need.

  3. 4-3-HBA-2 ? That's the formation I would really like to see us use in the future. I really do think that we have the players to make it work. One can hope..... Without quality fullbacks that formation is destined to fail. Indeed. Hopefully summer will be a busy one for us in terms of incomings...... In terms of the full back situation, I would like to see one of the following: - Sign a new RB and keep Santon at LB. - Sign a new LB and move Santon to RB. - Sign no-one but do this: Move Santon to RB and start Ferguson at LB or keep Santon at LB and start Tavernier at RB. (I'm going to assume that Simpson is going to stay as back up btw, can see him being decent cover for a new RB/Santon). Option 1 or 2 simply has to happen if he doesnt we will go backwards. BTW you forgot option Pardew, give Simpson a new contract, Sell Santon and buy Paul Robinson

  5. My point being i'd have preferred him to play in the central/free role and Obertan to have played wide right. If that happened then the goal would have never happened..... funny enough the goal came from Obertan being in the centre and passing it outwide to Ben Arfa to run at Gibbs. I personally think Ben Arfa outwide is best option, but another option should have been chosen instead of Obertan who should have been nowhere near the team
  6. Looks descent, but we should use Cabaye in the offensive midfielder maybe? Option aswell, if thats the case the we would have to buy a different type of midfielder even so i think a more fluid formation next season will be needed. Even if it means playing a 4-3-3 with Marveaux or Jonas in midfield with a sort of free role, 4-4-2 is fast becoming an outdated system in my view especially in european competition like the EL for example. Anyway what is clear is Jonas is knackered and needs to be rested by unfortunatly we cant rest him lol.
  7. I think all that playing as an extra fullback to cover for Raylor's utter shiteness has caught up with him.
  8. I will never go as far as that Smal, theres nothing wrong with as a person in fact he seems a decent bloke...... It's not his fault he cant play football and is utter shite and trusted as in a top quality RB but unfortunatly we have no one else. I'd like to see him stay but simply as a squad player we cant be fighting top 6 and have people like him and Williamson as first choice but i dont mind them as squad players. Whether he accepts that or not is another matter entirely.

    Alan Pardew

Yh we are lucky as hell that we had such a good start and Liverpool have only been able to obtain 5 points since Jan 1st Why cant we just play how we did up until christmas? i cant be that hard surely Pards?
  10. He might be suited as an #10 in continental europe but in England he's much better as a RW with freedom to cut in....... He's played great everytime he's played Right Wing i dont see no reason break something that doesnt need fixing.
  11. While i agree with all the concerns over him the problem is there is no one else to bring in due to injuries he will have to start until next season. I would actually consider changing to 4-3-3 and buy a attacking playmaker next season and look like this..... http://this11.com/boards/abChz36ag8.jpg
  12. Best CB i have ever seen for Toon in my lifetime, what a player. That dribble through the Arsenal midfield
  13. Tbh at this stage, 4 games without a win and all that i couldnt care less about the performance just need to win....... The winner can come off Grant Holt's backside for all i care, aslong as we get the 3 points.
  14. Must win, no ifs no buts and definitely no coconuts. If we dont win this i will start to get frightened of the possibility at finishing outside a european spot even if cups go our way.
  15. Should never play upfront on his own, hes poor everytime.
  16. Decent Performance, hopefully that means Ben Arfa start for now on oh and Ba is never a target man in a million years...... He's best when he drops deep and runs at defenders or attacks the ball from deep and defenders dont pick him up. He's an SS in my view, he should never play upfront on his own. Hopefully we can go on and get enough points to get 6th because i dont think we deserve anything less.
  17. Me too, but if 5 in midfield is the plan then thats probably the best way of going.
  18. Cisse looked like lacking in fitness against Sunderland on that basis i understand why he's on the bench.
  19. Completely agree, the mere fact he made SWP look like Messi and Richards look like Alves is good enough reason to never him play him there again I quite like Raylor as a squad player be it outwide or in midfield but he should be nowhere near fullback for his club.
  20. If he was a better defender and player then he wouldnt have to clear those shots off the line in the first place
  21. Come off the bench late on, score the winner then p*ss off back to Cardiff for the rest of the season.
