  1. Happy 25th Birthday Hatem, hope you score against Arsenal in celebration
  2. The reason i didnt include any english clubs in my original post on the subject is because i dont believe he would leave Arsenal for any english club. (even City) If he leaves he will go abroad IMO.
  3. Depends, if Arsenal qualify for the CL i reckon he will stay........ who is going to buy him who could afford him? Barca? dont need him...... Madrid ? dont need him...... Milan? dont need him...... Bayern? Dont need him...... The only two who could make sense are Juventus ( tho i think the forward they buy will be of a different profile and will be in his early 20s) and City simply because they buy anyone and everyone....... But even City has Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and loads of other other AM/Wingers aswell, he would be smart to stay at Arsenal. Just seen this. Left me speechless, some really strange stuff in that post. What's strange about it? Milan has Ibra, Barca has Messi, Bayern has Gomez, Madrid has Higuian and Benzema........ None of them actually need him. I don't understand why any team wouldn't need the second best striker in the world over the last 12 months. He'd improve every team you've mentioned and I include Barca in that. Staying at Arsenal would be the dumbest thing he could do - he isn't going to win anything there. That's the point he isnt a SS anymore he's a centre forward, he wouldnt fit Barca because he would be taking up Messi's space and he couldnt play on the wing because a Barca winger requires you to run in behind and stretch play and Van Persie doesnt do this. Milan wouldnt work either because both him and Ibra like to do similar things and would just get in each others way. Bayern dont have a 2 striker system to fit him and they dont wont spend 30m on a player to compete with Gomez they just wont do it. Madrid have Higuian and Benzema ( who is arguably in as good as form as RVP this year not goalscoring wise but overall play) It's not simply about winning trophies, its about what club out there that has a better chance of winning trophies has space for him? none of those clubs mentioned do, they already have somebody as good as, better or close to him or system that doesnt fit him. He might not win any trophies at Arsenal but he's guareenteed to start and for a side thats built around him. He does'nt fit in with Barca, Bayern or Milan and not guarenteed to start and Madrid already have two 20 goal a year CF's it might sound nice in FM land but in reality it would never work at any of these clubs and he would be smart to stay at Arsenal.

  5. Fantastic news, out of curiosity when was the last time this happened?
  6. Exactly what i want to see, i hope it actually happens. HBA running at Gibbs
  7. What's this obsession with moving Ba or Cisse to the left to make a 4-2-3-1 formation? They are CF's or at worse in Ba's case SS why would move someone who has scored 16 goals out on the wing? Surely this would make more sense if you are going to 4-2-3-1. Krul Santon New CB Colo New LB Cabaye Tiote Ben Arfa Ba Jonas Cisse
  8. I appreciate you creativity Skirge but that formation........no, just no I actually wouldnt mind it if Taylor was fit so he could replace Perch, but seeing as Perch is there its a massive no go.
  9. Agree with that actually, the problem is Ba has'nt been doing much recently as much as he was before AFCON and therefore leaving Cabaye and Tiote a bit exposed. That's what Cabaye and Ben Arfa are for
  10. How often does he give the ball away through passing? not very often iam aware his passes are usually ones of little risk but thats all that would be required of him in that role.
  11. TBF his skillset is more suited to a central role than a winger role; close control, work rate, accurate passing...... Atleast in theory it should work purely based on Jonas attributes as a player plus i mentioned that system because Jonas and Ben Arfa are both experienced in winger roles you could easily change to a 4-4-2 without changing anything at all. It's a very fluid system which i think would suit our players. It might not work, but in theory with 2 good fullbacks it should do.
  12. The only variation of 4-3-3 i want to see( even tho its more of a 4-3-1-2 ) is this...... Krul Santon Williamson Colo Raylor Cabaye Tiote Jonas HBA Cisse Ba The reason being is because it allows us fluidly go back into a 4-4-2 if needed, but there is one major flaw with this formation..... It needs 2 quality fullbacks to work, and atm we only have one
  13. I'd like to see him start on the right with freedom to roam and Jonas being more strict on the other side to provide balance. Hopefully Pardew agrees Simpson is poor enough with cover infront of him, if Benny starts right he has to play right.. a free role wound have to be behind a front two with a three man midfield behind him. I was meaning long term really, ofcourse Simpson is crap so the free role idea would have to put on hold until we have 2 quality fullbacks instead of one. Jonas covers so much ground that we could technically field a 4-3-1-2/4-4-2 hybrid, but again for this to work we would need quality fullbacks on both sides so again Simpson ruins it
  14. I'd like to see him start on the right with freedom to roam and Jonas being more strict on the other side to provide balance. Hopefully Pardew agrees
  15. Of course but unlike other english teams in recent years we will treat the competition with the respect it deserves and try to go as far as possible....... My point was why do teams fight so hard to qualify and dont even try to qualify from the group stage, from that standpoint the money argument doesnt wash. How do you know that? We haven't exactly made a decent fist of the other cups in the last few seasons. I was basing it on our history in Europe we always try to go as far as possible, i have no doubts if we qualify then we will do so again next season.
  16. Same against Chelsea aswell, i know we lost but Shola played really well hit the bar atleast once....... He's a legend for what he does every year in the derby and quite frankly i still think he has a role as a impact sub going forward. As pointed out already he's physically shot, but he can still do a fantastic job for us as an impact sub imo.
  17. Yh its getting to the retarded level of Tiote doing more playmaking than Cabaye ffs

  19. Money. That might make sense in the CL, but in the Europe League it doesnt considering this is the payout...... Group stage: €640,000 For each match in group stage: €60,000 Group match victory: €140,000 Group match draw: €70,000 Round of 32: €200,000 Round of 16: €300,000 Quarter-finals: €400,000 Semi-finals: €700,000 Losing Finalist: €2,000,000 Winning the Final: €3,000,000 Only if you get to the final its worth it on a financial scale, and even then its not a great deal more if at all than what you get for finishing in top 6 the season before to qualify. So no i dont think its money.
  20. Krul Richards Colo Agger Enrique Yaya Song Silva RVP Ba Bale
  21. Debuchy? would be a great signing he really impressed me against Germany the other week, i know Cabaye absolutely raves about him. I believe his agent has started talks with Valencia today... Considering Valencia's history with agents, i still would hold hope....... Gamiero and Van der Wiel just to name a couple who were nailed on certs to join them in last 12 months.
