Probably didn't help the club as a whole was totally f***ed mind. Would expect it to go a lot better next time around.

Very few in the Premiership too. He's in that Ben Arfa mould where, if he wasn't a total fruit loop, he'd be nowhere near NUFC. I just think he struggles when pressured because he doesn't have good enough mobility to continue to play the game at the pace he wants. Which is why at the top level he was never this good consistently, don't think it's because he's mentally fucked or anything like that. He's not alone though, there's loads of really talented passers around the world who just can't impose it on the opposition because of that.
-
Not that simple really, the best midfielders are always in acres of space.
-
I didn't watch today obviously but the game before his end product was great, it's not going to be great every week obviously as no winger is but I doubt it's going to be issue.
-
Southgate probably isn't good enough but i don't think any manager can get much from this group, there's some talented forward players but most of the defenders are utter s**** and the CM options are utterly depressing. Jordan Henderson, Eric Dier, Fabian Delph, Danny Drinkwater, Jonjo Shelvey, Jack Cork, James Ward-Prowse, Jack Wilshere, Ryan Mason, Tom Carroll, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Liam Baker, Nathaniel Chalobah. Don't think i'm missing anyone there, but none of them are any good. If the midfield is utterly s**** which it quite painfully is, then it's hard for any manager to get anything from the team.

He can f*** right off. He made his bed, now he can lie in it. We'll see you next season son, on our way past you in the premier table. So mad. So unjustified.

You'd think the Euros would have taught a lesson and what oversaturation of a tournament does.
-
It would take Wagner a while to implement what he wants at Villa I imagine, can't see there being a quick turnaround so yeah it would be great for us. Huddersfield would lose their manager and I doubt Villa would improve quick enough to make a difference to us.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Yeah before that we wasn't creating all that much, although I'm going to choose to believe that it's just a general development of the team and we'll continue to create chances going forward. -
Aye. And the team they've got isn't the best Aye I think they'll struggle regardless because there isn't enough change of pace and general quality in forward areas, but I don't think a change of manager changes that really.

Thought Swansea played well when I saw them this season, unlucky against both City and Liverpool imo. Think they would have turned it around but that's the world we live in i suppose.
-
Think Navas has actually been alright today, better than normal. Sterling hasn't really been involved much. Gundogan should be playing instead of Fernando though aye He has but at the same time he still looks like he doesn't look comfortable in possession, would have started Sane or Nolito.
-
Guardiola has fucked up here, technically there's far too many players who can't deal with the ball under pressure. Navas and Fernando shouldn't be playing, it's basically Stones to Silva and everyone else in between is a mess on the ball. Then you realise why they are struggling but Spurs have been fantastic mind, especially Lamela, Son and Alli.
-
Never said he has to be, there doesn't need to be a number 10 involved anyway and if one has to drop deep have it be Mitrovic as the type of lay offs and passes he'll be doing will be simple 2-5 yard stuff. Would always want Gayle playing off last man regardless of who his partner is.
-
I'm not particularly fussed by two upfront personally, i just think Gayle and Mitrovic would be more effective than Gayle and Diame has been tbh. Although i am starting to accept that Rafa doesn't agree, still hold out hope he'll play Atsu and Ritchie together mind.

The Stoke goal.

Wouldn't be surprised if Juve play a English team in the CL to see Sky act all shocked when he's fucking fantastic.
-
That save from Lingaard ffs, hard to think of a better save so far this season imo.
-
Huddersfield have a coach with a reasonable pedigree though for this level, he was head coach of Dortmund reserves during Klopp's time there and you can see the similarities in terms of what he wants from his players. I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the top 6 all season, people are writing them off because they are Huddersfield but ignoring the reasons why they are in first place to begin with.

Very good coach, or used to be before he got ill a few years ago. No idea what he's been doing the last few years. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2008/aug/26/bundesligafootball You'll notice that a lot of the terms being mentioned there is now being used by the likes of Klopp and Tuchel.
