Newcastle United vs Wolves - 17/09/16 @ 15.00 - Pre Match Thread

Replace fuck you with" I hate Melo because Nigeria lerl" and I'd agree tbh. -
In fairness as good as Emery is he's very cautious and tends to favour a different type of player than what Ben Arfa brings.
-
I understand his point as well, outside of City most of those look to be inconsistent in their play imo. I do think they will be the 7 in the end though, mainly because outside of Leicester I don't see anyone else finishing in those spots and I think they'll struggle to replicate last season. The other factor is City, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton all look much better than they did last season for varying reasons.
-
Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and? Everton I mean after last season how on earth can you make that comment!! Because they got rid of the idiot who was in charge and replaced him with a mananger who got Southampton 6th last year, after Southampton sold some decent players ? Not to mention Everton made some very good signings in their own right.

He's linked with every major club in Europe, not a chance. We'll have scouted him though because that's what any club with sense does. We need to be clued up on any possible young talent out there.
-
Surely that's not real

I agree just you know how it is and it's not exactly the first time old posts have been brought up, especially when they are opinions which tend to not coincide to general opinion.
-
I assume the part you are being ripped for is the " i don't rate him bit " Don't take it too seriously though.
-
Yeah i cringed at that
-
Yeah it's probably the one time they can probably be let off for empty seats tbh. Although considering their history i wouldn't be surprised if it's the same story for their other CL games.
-
Yeah seems pretty locked on that one
-
They don't really need a DM tbh, they have a fair few. Their issue last season was that when Cazorla went down with injury they had no one getting the ball from midfield to Ozil and Sanchez. Which is why they bought Xhaka i imagine, although Wenger is a bit senile these days and doesn't seem to play him so there's that. I really don't think they fucked up here or anything, but i'm not really bothered because he's been class for us and long may it continue.

He's still unstoppable (as much as he was then anyway) He's just a lot better in other departments such as playmaking and just in general decision making etc. Disagree, he doesn't have the top line speed to run away from the better defenders now. And top line speed is crucial in the biggest games. He still has a huge impact because of the other facets of his game, but he also has Neymar and Suarez to pass and work with. Five years ago, he could take a ball in midfield and score. These days, he needs good players to finish off his always-brilliant passes. Where did i disagree? I'm just saying he's a much better overall player now, his decision making is so much better than it used to be than when he was younger. He's a much better playmaker as well, he can literally can control games that he couldn't when he was younger. I remember many times that despite the speed he would make a lot more wrong decisions ( over dribbling when they was an open man to pass to through on goal and losing the ball etc ) than he does today. Never actually disagreed with you that he's slower, that's undeniable and understandable considering his age, but to me he's improved so much in areas he wasn't as good as when he was faster for it not to matter.

Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League

Yep. I imagine we'll spend in January this time, too. True, but it would not surprise me if someone like Shelvey is poached by desperate Premiership side in January. "Poached" Or, you know, Rafa might just tell then to f*** off If we're doing well and looking good for promotion, I can't see Shelvey f***ing off to a struggling Premiership side just to get relegated again. That goes for pretty much the whole squad now, really feels like the players we got now actually wants to be here. I agree, it's not happening. The only players of note that left us in the summer (Townsend had a release clause) Was Wijnaldum and Sissoko. The only reason that happened is because they cost a combined 55 f***ing million. If anyone wants to pay a similarly ridiculous fee for Shelvey then go ahead but seeing as they won't he'll be here. I was skeptical going into this summer but it's quite clear that unless Rafa gets what he wants nobody goes anywhere. -
Aye was unlucky not to score as well.
