The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford
Mole_Toonfan replied to cp40's topic in Football
How is Hiddink a fraud? A Fraud is harsh but he's clearly nowhere the coach he was years ago, shown by the fact Pardew outcoached him -
There's probably a middle ground between Pompey and choosing one of the richest couple of clubs in the world. Again. No idea why everybody wants him to drop down mind though, He started at the very top ( after the initial stint with Barca B) and was successful at it. Nobody asks any other manager to drop down and do it with a lesser team so why does it apply to him? Same goes with Messi, everyone for years wanted him to leave Barca and " challenge" himself but for some reason this doesn't apply to any other footballer. It's all a load of bollocks IMO, i know Deuce wasn't being serious but just in general the whole mindset baffles me.

That initially came from an unreliable Italian paper so i'm not sure i believe it yet

If Sissoko is crap I dread to think what Shelvey and Townsend are. Furthermore what's the point in pursuing Townsend if we are to continue with Sissoko and Wijnaldum on the wings?
-
You could say that about a lot of players we have been linked with, didn't stop people dreaming about it. ( much better and higher profile players than fucking Shelvey as well) Who are you and what have you done with KaKa?!

Christmas to February run is what usually fuck these teams over, people said the same about Southampton last year and they fell apart, it's just the way of things when you have a squad of largely unknowns who haven't experienced what it's like to be at the top before. Not to mention their manager has a history of choking when it really matters. Would be great but i'd be shocked if they are anywhere near the CL spots come May.

He's been doing that for ages, since like September is when he first start doing it. He's no longer Jose " deflect attention away from the players " Mourinho. For that reason i don't believe he's close to being sacked, if this is what needed to happen he would have been kicked out the door ages ago.

He quits Mario Kart races when he's about to lose Biggest type of scum imo.

Uefa just showing again how fucking dumb they are Arsenal-Barca and Juve-Bayern on the same day

Got to agree with this. They both looked a class above when they came on, but the game had opened up by then. Nah, De Jong must continue to start. He'll never improve if he's in and out of the team, need to stick by him. I think there's room for De Jong plus Mit/Perez in the side. He's always going to be in and out of the team though because Perez is better.

You can apply that to a lot of the players tbh, way too many of them are far too inconsistent.

Or Cronky is god, in which case we are all fucked.

Pretty much

As if the manager is the problem with Real, they have long standing issues for years which still haven't been rectified. Firstly their front 3 don't play together as a unit like Barca's do they play as individuals, which is why it all falls flat on it's face against the better teams more often not. As talented as some of their midfielders are, for the most part they all want to do similar things and it doesn't fit into the fabric of the team. All this combined results in a fractured team which is split up into parts instead of linking together like Barca's and Bayern's do and hell PSG for that matter, not to mention their fullbacks can't defend and their defenders are all extremely aggressive leading them to make errors in judgement which are not necessary and a personal pet hate of mine in defending. Ancelotti got around it by having at least one fullback who could defend and in Di Maria he had a player who was a one man counter attack and a ridiculous amount of energy to cover ground. What are you are going to do with this though? no one is making a team consist of Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, Bale, Benzema, Isco, Modric and Kroos balanced. The real problem here is Florentino Perez and has been for years and ultimately his decision making has been a huge factor in Barca's dominance since the Ronaldinho signing who he unforgivably turned down for Beckham.
