  1. Even then i don't think anyone knew it was going to be a success, in general it's a load of nonsense as most cliche bullshit is.
  2. He's carried them heavily since Xavi and Iniesta both couldn't anymore, he's literally the only one on that team capable of creating for others. They are lucky that today and Roma aside they've been solid defensively.
  3. Just read Aubameyang has double figures in two different leagues this year. He's so good, wouldn't be surprised if he's top scorer next year assuming Arsenal don't fuck up the manager appointment.
  4. Absolute rectangle will never get old.
  5. Would imply everyone else is just gonna stand still which obviously won't happen. Given that reality, staying up would be unlikely. A lot will make stupid buys and appointments and go backwards probably. It's a complete myth that the whole league gets stronger year on year. Ferguson used to say if you don't improve you go backwards, it's very naive and borderline delusional of anyone to think if we were only to add a striker to this team that we wouldn't go backwards and very lucky to be anything but contending relegation.
  6. Regardless just standing still is a recipe for disaster, no team has ever done anything but go backwards doing that.
  7. Would imply everyone else is just gonna stand still which obviously won't happen. Given that reality, staying up would be unlikely.
  8. Not sure 442 is much of a help to his talents either, he's not some grafter winger like Ritchie or something. I do understand why they do it though, Messi isn't the tracking back lunatic he used to be and they probably need to make sure it doesn't hurt them defensively.
  9. What's sad is the way he's gone - basically pushed out. Arsenal fans just seem to be clueless of what he has achieved - he refused to cripple the club with debt whilst they paid off that stadium but still managed to build team after team that qualified each year for the champions league. Nobody is clueless to what he achieved, they just see the steady decline which has took place over the last 5 seasons and it was time they moved on. You can't just ignore what has happened in the present day because he happens to be a damn living legend, very few clubs operates like that and the ones that do are failures. I don't understand why people are being critical of Arsenal fans tbh, no other fanbase in the same situation would have acted any differently. Basically the way i look at it is his decisions in recent seasons were rightly criticised but at the end of the day he's a legend and now he's going it's time to respect him for what he did for them and forget it all because he doesn't deserve anything less.
  10. Him and Lacazette look very good together, the rest of the team needs sorting but for the first time in what seems like forever they actually have some quality forwards.
  11. Aren't Barca down to 10 men? seems a bit stupid thing to say considering that.
  12. Them finish outside of the top 4, Chelsea getting 4th place, only to lose it due to Liverpool winning the Champions League would be funnier, especially after Chelsea did it to Spurs a few years back. Liverpool winning the CL would be terrible, absolutely terrible. Not as terrible as Real Madrid winning it would be.
  13. Germany boss Joachim Löw, Juventus coach Max Allegri, Monaco's Leonardo Jardim and Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers are likely to be on Arsenal's shortlist. (Source: Daily Mirror) It's the Mirror so take it with a giant truck of salt but Rogers aside all of them would be good choices imo.
  14. it's what arsenal need after years of drifting imo, it would require a squad overhaul for sure If they were to commit to that then fine, but I personally think it would take a budget of City proportions to turn that team into Simeone's image I don't think something that drastic is necessary.
  15. Isn't Tuchel going to PSG? Sure I read that somewhere.
  16. Don't see what's wrong with that tbh. This is a competitive sport (or at least it's supposed to be) when a man isn't meeting the results necessary they should be criticised regardless of their standing. That's how successful football clubs remain successful, with that said now he's going they should absolutely respect the man for all he's done for them.
  17. Both would be good choices based on the needs of the squad.
  18. I've been critical of him for years, but now is the time to celebrate his work for the legend he was and not think about the decline that eventually settled in. Also I completely disagree with those who mention Simeone and others like him, the man is Mourinho 2.0 and that's not what that squad needs at all. Mainly because the squad would be needed to completely ripped apart to get a team in his image, what they need is someone more like Wenger in his ideals but younger and more up to date with the current game. Doing a complete 180 with the likes of Simeone is not a good idea imo.
  19. If that happens i give it a month before everybody starts getting annoyed with how awful he is at finishing and decision making.
  20. Don't have an issue with that tbh, all 3 have done outstanding jobs for different reasons.
