We have made worse look good this season so why not. -
Agreed which would mean we would more likely have to look outside of these shores as it's a more continental set up.
-
The sad thing about all that is that it really shouldn't be
-
Promote Hatem to Player/Manager.
-
What lies? Well the lies to Cabaye and Anita etc etc that we play good football for one
-
If we were to sack Pardew i wouldn't expect a big name manager.....but i would see no reason at all why we couldn't employ a manager who is good tactically, plays a style of football that suits the players we have the players we are likely to invest in. Hell when i have watched our kids they play a style of football which suits our first team players i feel and that would also make the step up it the first team a lot easier for the kids and better for the club as a whole if from the first team to the kids the style is the same. Just depends whether the board can actually make a smart appointment and not a retarded one like they have in the past.

19 goals in 13 league games this season..... in perspective CR has 12 and and Falcao has 11

Cisse can hold the ball up. Playing up front on his own at Freiburg he was brilliant at it. didn't he play up top 'on his own' in our 4-3-3 spell? Seemed to work well.. The issue isn't that he's up top alone, it's that we want to use him as a target man, someone who enjoys physical scraps with centre-halves, something who battles with his back to goal, someone who is skilful enough to hold the ball when he has two or three players crowding around him. Well he's not that sort of player. in the slightest. But what he can do is respond to good movement around him, play on the shoulder of the last defender, be part of quick, incisive counter-attacks, move into space and play simple passes when the other attackers show for the ball and so on. Not every lone striker need be a target man with physical presence, look at Defoe's form this season for example, or to be even more blindingly obvious, Falcao and Messi when they play in a front 3. You will have to look quite far to see an example of a player being as poorly utilised as Cisse is right now - both in terms of how the team around him plays, and what he himself is expected to do. Looks absolutely bereft of ability and confidence. Pardew's use of his Cisse this season is worse than Allardyce putting Martins out wide, for instance. In fact it's even worse than those infamous matches when Souness put Shola on the left-wing, because you're wasting a far bigger asset than Ameobi. it's absolutely criminal.

If we could buy Leon Best back maybe -
We would have to basically buy a whole new team for that so again it's no excuse for the poor performances.
-
i can't for one second understand people using the injuries or lack of investment excuses.... How would buying lots of players change anything? there's a fundamental issue with tactics, gameplan and mentality which buying players won't fix.
-
Every year i think so and every year they miss a million chances and find a way to lose..... so not a chance.

Relentlessly. -
You want a manager with an attacking mentality and Deschamps is suggested?
-
Its got everything to do with why this slump is happening. Why should we, you have no right to beat anybody in this league. You should have learned that lesson a few seasons ago. I never said we had a right.... i said we should be beating them and we should.....
-
Can we stop using the squad and investment excuses please that has absolutely f*ck to do with this seasons performances. Even with all the injuries and lack of investment we should still be beating Villa, Sunderland, Reading, West Ham, Sunderland and Swansea.
-
Every single person on here and probably every Newcastle fan around the world would be delighted with that
-
Most French clubs need money, which is exactly why we feast upon them well that and the players seem to be canny

No, it's really the other way round. Most people seem to think he's not all that for exactly the reasons you've listed. Not to mention they finished 3rd when he took over and he was largely responsible for making Iniesta and Xavi more important to the team, brought Busquets and Pedro through and bought Pique and Alves. It wasn't just handed to him on a plate, he took them from 3rd behind Villarreal to the Treble in less than 12 months.

Tbf to Moyes do Everton actually have anyone better than Howard?
