Don't see that bothering Spurs too much though,if things get really bad they could always use Dempsey as a striker. Dempsey, Adebayor and Defoe for 1 position is more than enough tbh.

Yeah me too, i can't see us lower than 8th we are just simply superior to the rest by quite a big margin. There will have to be a major major f*ck up for us to finish lower than 8th, extra games or not.

I would prefer it to open the day the season finishes and closes when the new one starts, either that or scrap it. Would like this too, seems a sensible solution. Also yes some players have looked behind the pace but have we looked who we played? The Champions League winners and the team who finished above us last season. Dunno about anyone else but i would have snapped your hand off for 3 points out of 6 from those games. I highly doubt any of them apart from maybe Ba have had their heads turned and quite frankly Ba has been one of the better performers in the first few games. Cabaye is just not fit, as for Cisse we have not really created many chances for him tbf and Tiote has been injured since the Spurs game. Nothing to get concerned about.

Dembele offers different things to Modric and therefore will provide things Modric can't which Spurs can take advantage of. Will miss Modric no doubt but not as much as i think people think they will. Sandro/Parker/Dembele/Dempsey/Sigurdsson isn't a bad selection of midfielders tbh.

We do have a very good approach to transfers BUT we do need a little more wiggle room imo. My feeling too. Needs adapting. Agree in a sense but not major reworking IMO, it's a good platform for us to build from we just need to be less stubborn when it comes to negotiations. Losing out on Debuchy for the sum of 1m euros is a bit depressing tbh and should be avoided. I don't see nothing with the policy in a sense but as Cajun said allow ourselfs to be more flexible instead of going to an amount of getting so close and losing out because we refuse to go over an x amount.

Very disappointed, but i'm happy it's all over now we can now focus on the players we do have. We still have a good squad and in Europe ( yes Europe ffs !) no reason to get down in the dumps. It's time to get behind the lads and forget all this terrible mess and hopefully they will give us another season to be proud of.

7th i think we can finish higher but we will have to get very lucky with injuries etc etc.

Everyone's talking about Falcao, but Arda Turan has been outstanding too.

What concerns me more than anything, is not grasping this great opportunity to push on but failing to do so will make finishing in the top 6 extremely difficult and thus our best players will leave. It's a vicious circle and something that we should not be even considering but it could very happen if we don't finish in the top 6 this season. Basically failing to push on will risk the possibility of going backwards. Hope i'm wrong.
