  1. Ryder is a twat anyway, no worries.
  2. If memory serves me right, in Mike Ashleys infamous statement he said that we wouldn't spend big money on players over 26. Apart from the obvious Cisse example, i would'nt exactly call £6m " big money" if i'm honest. Well, hark at you Mr Moneybags. I meant in footballing terms and even Ashley terms lol, 6k is big money for me lol.

  4. Spaff in my pants if that came off, but doubt it will happen. Don't they want daft money for him even though he's in his last year? Montpellier full-back Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is still hopeful that his club can come to an agreement with Milan for his transfer http://www.football-italia.net/22705/yanga-mbiwa-maintains-milan-hope He would be a great signing, my only concern is that he would be using us as a stepping stone club. Doesn't bother me tbh, lets face it if any of our current players was wanted by Milan they would leave asap. Would be a fantastic signing regardless if he considers us a stepping stone or not.
  5. Agreed, but i think we need a CB more than a midfielder and I think the midfielder is the priority. That is why we are on a football forum, it's all about opinions. I agree a midfielder is necessary but some positions are more important, i would personally buy a RB, CF and a CB before a midfielder but fair enough if you disagree.
  6. Lille are not playing hardball for any sinister reasons, they are playing hardball because he's one of their best players if not the best and want as much as possible for him. Like mentioned, patience is a virtue with this transfer i'm still confident that come September he will be playing for us.
  7. Definitely does sound like nothing new there and just a copy and paste job.
  8. Would be hilarious if Liverpool sold Suarez and Agger.
  9. Was a good game that and i have come to the realisation that the Women are tougher than the Men.
  10. I doubt players who i went to the Euro's need much of a pre-season tbh, a run out against Hartlepool and Cardiff should be enough tbh.
  11. Saylor doesn't need to be fit all season long in every single game, he just need's to stay away from long term injuries. I don't have a problem with the likes of Williamson, Perch etc etc playing games, it's playing for month's at a time in every single game where the problem arises. Also this.
  12. Yeah i don't think we will sign a CB either, i know we shouldn't pay 100% attention to reports especially considering of what happened in January. But our summer has been dominated with RB, CM and Striker searches, so i have to believe those are the 3 positions we are trying to strengthen. Hopefully Saylor can stay away from long term injury.
  13. Put in some decent crosses too, its strange i have seen him on the right a little bit for us and a fair bit for Inter before he lost his way and i feel he's always looked more comfortable on the left. I can't even explain why, i suppose its easier to defend against too as a lot of players like to come inside these days and they coming inside on Davide's stronger foot. Going forward when he cuts inside and dribbles with his right defenders don't seem to know what to do with him. He maybe right footed but i think he looks at home on the left.
  14. I personally feel for the squad to be complete across all positions we need a CB, RB, CM, CF but that is impossible. So it comes down to what Pardew considers more important a CM or a CB. Also going by pre season, i doubt we will even play 4-3-3 so that throws that argument out the window.
  15. Make your mind up ffs, we have a season to prepare for
  16. True, btw i'd argue Jonas is better at CM than he ever was out wide all his best attributes suit a CM. We do need a CM quite frankly, but we also need a CB just as much. Up to Pardew and the management what they consider more important. I hate saying this, but i think the performances of Perch last season and the promise of Tavernier and Good has put a CM in front of a CB at this time. As long as we get a RB, Forward and a CM/CB i won't be complaining in any case.
  17. Do we really need a centre mid? at least as much as we need a centre back? I'd argue getting Saylor some genuine quality competition is more important than getting centre mid. Going by reports and quotes, Pardew seems to disagree but there you go.
  18. He is, one of the reason's it's so important we get him. Him and Hatem on the right will tear left wings apart. C'mon make it happen !
  19. i have no trouble with the spending. it's that the money hasn't been earned and the carry no risk that pisses me off. There's that too. Well...there's really not any big spender who really has earned the money! It's all about having a "sugar daddy" as their owner. "Sugar daddy's" like that are one thing, but year after year not even attempting to make a profit is another IMO.

  21. If that ever was a reason (it won't be . . . .) why not just save ourselves 8mil and let Bigi learn off Tiote? If we are to play 3 in midfield i think we want an extra DM. My post was thinking why we would want Toulalan over Anita. The advantages are more experienced and won't block Bigi's progress in anyway shape or form, Anita might do because the age difference isn't as much. For what its worth i agree with you, id rather see that money spent on a CB but i'm just thinking about the reason's why the club would consider such a transfer.
  22. Just thought about something, maybe we are considering a more experienced DM because how much Bigi has impressed. Get Toulalan in for a few years, get Bigi to learn from him and Tiote. Once he's on the slide Bigi can slot straight in as by then he will probably be more than ready. Still probably unlikely, but it's something to consider. That's if we are even in for him of course.
  23. I love Skirge's wacky formations despite the fact they will never happen.
