Wasn't planning doing anything until the season starts, but good call none the less.
-
But you've got Brad Friedel. He's like 59 though....
-
Get a Simpson or Obertan then. Would rather get your name on my back tbh mate
-
Why do we have to have so many likeable players , i cant decide whose name to get on the back
-
Can i just say i would be fine with this as long as Saylor can stay fit till January and Ivory Coast beat Senegal in the AFCON qualifier. It's far from ideal, but i would be ok with it as long we do get the rest of the targets in January.

Good for Hatem as well in a way, it will give him something to aim for and wont be complacent to achieve his goals.

Romain Amalfitano joins Dijon permanently for an undisclosed fee

I'd heed heavy caution against that, lifting weights while we make him stronger at the same time could see him lose the agility which is one of the bright spots in his game atm. Take Cristiano Ronaldo for example and compare him to when he joined Man Yoo to now his agility and ability to move in tight spaces is non existent now. There's a definite balance to be had when trying to beef up, you want him to get stronger but you don't want anything to be taken away from his current game. Anyway i like what i have seen so far i think he could play in a midfield 3, outwide in 4-4-2 or one of the attacking midfield roles in 4-2-3-1. Have always enjoyed your posts Moley Agreed, just meant in a "not being bullied of the ball sense" as the PL is a lot more physically demanding than Ligue 2 (or all other leagues for that matter) It took Modric a season to adjust to it and even though he doesn't look any stronger you clearly need time to adjust to the rough and tumble of a CM berth at this level. Without wanting to repeat myself, I think we have a tasty player on our hands here, young, technically gifted with a bright future ahead. One of many positives atm. I'd argue Modric took a season to adjust because of the manager not having a clue where to play him and just adjusting to a new country and a new way of playing rather than physical demands though. I am excited by all 3 of our signings so far this summer though and Amalfitano is no different. -
Hasn't been much that's why i said little i have seen in that position, saw him play there a few minutes here and there last season and a bit in pre season. Obviously not enough to suggest he'd be mint there, but when i have seen him there he looked more comfortable than on the right.

Not worried about the physical part personally, the PL is becoming more of a La Liga as each year passes atleast from a attacking sense anyway. If you have a good footballing brain, touch and technique and used correctly you are just as likely to succeed as a big massive shit house. As you mention Silva, all he does is drag defenders towards him move the ball on, float around and suddenly he has yards of space. While not in the same class Amalfitano is capable of doing just that. As you say, he will be mint. -
Good shout, I'm a big fan. Me too, can't believe i didn't even think about him reckon if Dempsey leaves he will just thrive on the responsibility. Eh, they're very different players, he's more of a understudy to Dembele isn't he? Aye they are put i more meant filling the creative and goalscoring void that Dempsey would leave more than actually directly replacing him.

I honestly think they dont, just Fergie trying to make the fans think that they can still compete with the mega rich money whores. RVP makes no sense on so many levels, they need a fullback and a midfielder not a bloody striker.
-
If we want to get the best out of Obertan i'd consider trying him on the left from time to time, from what little i have seen him in that position he seems more comfortable than on the right.
-
class name.
-
I hope not lol, starting to get annoyed with all this f*cking around. Just sign someone !
-
Good shout, actually Not really. He's got the touch of a baby elephant. And will hardly kick a ball all season long, assuming he stays of course.

And yet i find nothing on of sky's twitter accounts Sky Tyne and wear. Been going all day I thought we already established in the Anita thread that it was a load of BS though?
