You're right in my opinion nothing will happen (if there is anyway) until the end of the season. As I've mentioned a few times, the fact that Ashley is willing to gamble relegation and put the value of a reported 350m deal to probably half in value, indicates to me that nothing is happening. We will see That’s what doesn’t make sense...if the Takeover’s not close, why gamble with relegation and a £350m Business...Why stick with Bruce when it’s obvious to Barnes and co that this Bufoon is going to take us down. I guess bringing Jones in was his/the clubs way of dealing with the threat of relegation. There's a limited pool of managers available and who's to say they would want to join us anyway? Who knows what was tried to be sorted behind the scenes

I still think the legal case is to get the takeover through rather than compensation and also that DeMarco would have advised that it was worth pursuing... which felt positive. However, from the timelines posted previously we should have been well in to arbitration by now which sounds like isn't the case. I get its better to settle without, but if they were so sure in their case then surely you'd just push it through?

"The latest mantra is: “I've always said it is about the accumulation of points...” is pointless waffle. We've grasped the concept of a league." Dying for one of the journos to actually say that to him. It's deflecting, patronising, disingenuous nonsense. "I've always said it's about how well men can kick a football"

But we may have a run of matches without Wilson, ASM, and Almiron. During some of our “easier” matches too. :'( If we had 2 out of the 3 fit for the upcoming run I think we'd be almost safe at the other side. Without any of them, I don't have a clue

Deffo this, so weak on that right side at the mo

If it is, then you need to think about what is is that Nick de Marco is trying to do. I don't believe it's just to get compensation for Ashley and nothing else. It most likely is just about Ashley compo, but if they string the fans along it keeps them off his back and makes him look like he’s doing what he can to leave. It will get interesting if we go down. Ashley will want the loss of asking price or costs to get us back up. He won’t let that go and I don’t blame him. We go down it’s because we’ve become more of a zombie club than ever before, and we have the PL to thank for that. He'd get laughed out of court for blaming relegation on the PL, and rightly so. This relegation is solely on him and nobody else. As far as I am concerned this takeover is dead and buried now. DeMarco is there to get compensation and embarrass the PL. Nothing more in it than that. Based on what? All the best sources we have - Keith, Caulkin, Kennedy, Jacobs - think that Amanda is still trying to buy the club and they all agree that the legal proceedings are not limited to Fat Mike getting compensation. Even De Marco's own comments the other day suggest that this is not about compensation. He said, speaking in general terms, "Arbitration is risky so it's best to try and reach a deal without the need for it". Which seems more likely to you?: 1) George and Keith have contact with the buyers, albeit limited, and they know enough to know the deal is alive. or 2) George Caulkin is a pathological liar and is willing to destroy his well-earned reputation as the #1 NUFC journalist for twitter likes. Keith is also flat out lying and is willing to destroy his credibility as a local businessman. I don't think either of them are lying. I think they are being fed lies by Ashley and the buyers. What's the motive?

He definitely says fuck off, but at first I thought they were both moaning. Not so sure after that, looks more like directed at Jones.

We bought in Wilson, Lewis, Hendrick and Fraser during the summer with no serious outgoings. We were 13th and 7 points clear with a game in hand over the relegation zone at Christmas. This capitulation has nothing to do with a failed takeover over from July.

Some strange comments in there mind. Needs to learn swearing is not big or clever as well. Just comes across as childish

A lot of good stuff from the game but Injuries biggest concern at the mo, can only afford to have one of ASM, Wilson and Miggy out. Thought Shelvey was ok, Joelinton unlucky and seems to have developed some power Krath the weakest link and leaves us really exposed

Well they did like I know, that's what I said

Injuries had an impact. Bruce excuses lined up perfectly

I can’t speak for manorpark but mine is based on everything i read and understand about the whole situation, and the odd bit of 2nd and 3rd hand info I get from time to time. I’m sorry, I can’t let that go. What exactly have you read that makes you so convinced that this will go ahead? And no a tweet from some guy called Harry doesn’t count. Everything right now points to the complete opposite. Richard Masters basically said to Chi in a letter that they believe that PIF & MBS are not seperate. Jacobs has also since said that PIF use a government web address & have government staff. The US in a report state that MBS ordered the use of PIF planes in the murder of kashoggi. That is an example of reading info and coming to a conclusion. Every single thing points to PIF & MBS not being seperate entities. From what I read Manor Park’s only reasoning is constantly ‘omg look at who Ashley has taking his case’ from what I gather from this thread all your info comes from Keith and couple twitter itk called Harry and R E Maine, the latter who indulges himself in weird boxing related analogies. Desperate stuff I’m 100% all for being positive if there is actual positive info but this weird doubling down delusion is too much man Back again, winding us all up.....what’s wrong with you. Why don’t you just let us believe what we want to believe. it’s nothing to do with being positive or optimistic. After 14 years of Ashley’s tenure we’re all desperate for a change of direction. Many believe the takeover won’t/can’t happen for the many reasons outlined in the other thread. A lot of these points raised are possibly very correct, but it’s mainly opinions. If takeover doesn’t happen, and there are many who will be proven to be correct, if this is the case, we’ll be still left with more years of misery. Instead some of us cling on, blindingly in some cases , to any possible good or interesting news/tweets/hearsay etc. Call us delusional if you wish, it’s your prerogative, but constantly appearing in this thread to simply wind us up is quite frankly, Boring. I’m old enough to be able to decide what i want to believe and what i think is fairytales. I’m not winding anyone up. I’ve gave a factually accurate response with sources and reasoned viewpoints. Others have just made jokes about manor park and Whitley mag being the same mental person yet I’m the one that’s the wind up. Just because my view doesn’t match up with yours doesn’t mean I’m on the wind up. Get a fuckin grip I’m not trying to argue with you...you just don’t understand the point of this thread and the reasons why we look in here for a different point of view from the other thread...... I do understand it and while as I said other people were clearly taking the piss I tried to have a reasoned discussion. Maybe I should just start taking the piss out of people as that seems more acceptable than trying to have a discussion With respect, some people don't want a reasoned discussion on why their positive optimism is wrong. I know that irks you but that's why the thread was created. You can't help yourself as you've admitted, so maybe just don't come in? At the moment it does look like you're more interested in the arguing...as much as I agree some of your points are valid

Why is he comparing the results of a promoted championship team with a mid-table premier league team?

This was my take, solving the BeIn piracy opens the doors and linking MBS was the easy excuse that they would have swept under the carpet. I guess a concern now is that with these new findings, backtracking/glossing over that link is not as easy. Are there really new findings? I think everyone knows and always has known that PIF and KSA are the same thing. Everybody also knows they're as dodgy as a BBC 70s reunion do. I'm sure De Marco has a role to play but ultimately money is going to make or break the deal, not a legal technicality. Something about planes I have to admit I lazily haven't read the report but seems to be a bit of a hoo-haw over it

He posted this 2 days ago with no bites so posted almost exactly the same thing yesterday just to get a reaction. Then sits at home stroking himself to frenzy as it gets 2 pages of responses. Repetitive wum fuckwit.

I wouldn't mind but he started this whole "fans to blame" and then fucks off without adding anything to the debate. He's just a fucking wum knob

I agree that there needs to be a much better mobilisation to boycott and sadly it looks like there isn't the appetite by a significant chunk of the fanbase to do so. However, I'm not sure if the beginning of that season after Rafa left was necessarily as grim as people make out at the time. The team was likeable (admittedly down to Rafa if course) and with a record signing and ASM etc it wasn't exactly all doom and gloom. I wasn't impressed with Bruce and thought he'd be a failure but I didn't hate him particularly then, he just meant nothing. I think expecting people to boycott at that moment would have been a stretch. I'd like to think now he'd be getting absolute pelters from the fans and any boycott might have traction, but who knows?
-
That's because you're a wum. Nothing wum about that post at all and plenty echo them sentiments as well. I take it you must be one of the donnay army continuing to feed Ashley and accept any old shit like Bruce Not biting wum

That's because you're a wum.

The arbritation case agaisnt the PL not something positive or are you a closet optimist who needs constant reassurances? Well for me I’ll wait for the outcome of arbitration before I decide if it’s positive. If it fails it’s not exactly positive is it? I don’t particularly feel having this hangover out heads all season has really helped either You're doing it wrong - the thread is called positive optimism, not positive outcome.
-
Well that's not true, barristers have no choice but to take on a case if instructed, there are only very limited circumstances where they can refuse and feeling they can't win is not one of them. You'd have to hope they'd give an honest appraisal of the chances of success. If they told Ashley he didn't have a decent case, would he have bothered progressing? Never know with him unfortunately

I'd never seen a nose with fat rolls before this pic came out
