The 5 clubs that qualify by achievement each season is a little condescending - "we now deem your puny club worthy of playing with us". Would love it if those chosen told them to fuck off.

I think the issue would initially be that they are contracted to those clubs now so seems unfair to ban them mid-contract. Hopefully new signings would be fair game if they want to take that route... would certainly highlight player priorities

As much as I want the PL to come out and take action now, they need to check the legal position first. The Super League teams have a bit of an advantage at the mo as they've been planning this and they must feel they have a strong legal position to support them staying domestically. This fantasy land and burying heads in sand is just garbage. Arbitration is happening and if the case is won then the takeover will likely proceed (assuming the only blocker is the ownership piece). Not for one instance am I saying we'll win the case because no one has any idea one way or the other. How can you pass the whole court ruling off as nothing when it clearly shows that arbitration is paving the way for the takeover rather than just Ashley compo? Arbitration would have likely started by now if we didn't contest the panel. I love a Manor Park quote and it really is just a case of "wait" at the moment as the process has to play out....but at least we know it is now

No, because I believe Ashley wants rid and the best chance of selling is in the PL. I'd be gutted but would take a little bit of solace that it would highlight how shit Bruce is to everyone and how we were right all along.

However if the club is sold and the club at that point has £4m less than when the agreement and original valuation was made, then it would likely be adjusted and only £346m would be payable (very basic scenario obviously).
