That will be Euro's as well, so it will be under 4 million quid.

Sky Italia reporting he is on his way for a medical.

Bets in for our 11th hour 'attempted' signing?
-
Made more tackles yesterday than any other NUFC player. But yeah, I would love to see him play next to Ben Arfa.
-
If, as suggested he is available on the cheap I could have seen this happening. But it's a bit late in the window now.
-
As if we are looking to bring anyone in.
-
I hate to think what the Tiote / Colback partnership will look like.
-
Had to drop incredibly deep at times to actually receive the ball.

Their time wasting pissed me off no end today like. Obviously had clear instructions to break up play. On a different note, I hope the older lady who had a fall in the East stand as our first goal went in is OK. Appeared to have some kind of neck / head injury. Was pretty distressing to watch. The paramedics did a good job in a very awkward environment to get her to pitch level with the neck brace on - only for them to make a right hash of things adjusting the height of the stretcher (dropped abruptly by a foot).
-
Knew as soon as we conceded that he would come out with that.
-
Where's the Ben Arfa one gone?
-
Rob Scanlon asked him today if he had any romantic visions of ending his management career at Palace. Pardews reply was basically that with no disrespect to Palace, but he has loftier ambitions.

Totally (and predictably) dodged a question on Ben Arfa today, on asked on whether he was still in the reckoning after his performance on Monday: "All the reserves were very very good on the night; Haris Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi.... But Arma was the pick and he has got back into that England team, as Rolando has in the U20's, so our young players are coming through and if we can get two young offensive players out of that group, we will be ecstatic because they are very difficult to get in the modern game".

http://img.startingeleven.co.uk/u/53f9c254ecfdf.jpg I would be surprised if it wasn't something very similar to that. Can see him 'rewarding' the likes of Abeid, Obertan and Aarons for 'good pre-season showings'. Taylor the enforced change at the back, Mapou and Haidara coming on just for some game time. And then Riviere and de Jong up top to try and get some goals and a bit of confidence. The other CM berth is probably up for grabs, could be anyone.

f*** all in his nufcTV interview, but I transcribed some of it anyway. - On the performance: "Can't fault the players for their application today, we have come here and dominated the game - and they are off the back of a win away from home, so that's all positive" - On the defence: "Back four were really good, squeezed the pitch great, we had two or three offsides where they might have had chances last year, but we have drilled that back four and they were good today. It's a shame Willo got sent off, because he was a top performer." - On Tuesdays game "It will be [a tricky test in the cup], and I know that stadium well as an ex-Charlton and Palace player, ex-manager at Chalrton, it's a difficult place and the atmosphere will be red hot, they are a physical team but we are going to need a win. I will be taking the same squad as here, so a strong squad going there and hopefully we will get a win"
-
"We need to threaten the goal with goals".
-
Haidara for Dummett probably.
-
What was the point of this pub thing then? Did I miss something or did they only cut there for 30 seconds to chat about Ozil?
-
Neil Warnock on BT Sport earlier had spoken to Pardew last night at the team hotel. Told him that a player might come in tomorrow.
-
Who could we be signing tomorrow then?
-
Just launched over there this summer haven't they?

http://www.espnfc.com/blog/espn-fc-united-blog/68/post/1996459/everton-manager-roberto-martinez-on-the-premier-leagueeuropa-league-and-the-secrets-to-his-success What I would give to have a manager like Martinez at the helm here. Great piece as well.

I reckon of all the players in our squad, Tiote is the one that Pardew would be most reluctant to let go (assuming he has any say at all).
