I hate Ashley but i think he'll be decent for them, as scottish football is about his level. In comparative terms if Ashley was doing to Rangers what he's done to us they'll probably start pissing the SPL again in no time. Premiership clubs its different though obviously due to the level of opposition and the fact that 19 other clubs won't stop still, and also the sheer amount of money needed to realistically achieve success. If he totally cheapens the brand and history of Rangers then obviously thats s*** (for them) mind.

His third one vs West Ham was a beauty. His footwork with the ball to get shots on goal was his main strength and was actually very good. Coulda done with learning the offside rule though.

West Ham were completely s*** mind. That team we had first season back up were more than capable of dishing out (and taking) batterings. Not that I'm screaming for a team full of english players now but I do think the combo of Barton + Nolan helped the team pull through quite a bit. Seemed to galvanise the other players, aswell as being Pardew's closest allies that season really.

I suppose getting beat in a cup match is in keeping with club policy.

That's his guillotine imo. The final blow. I'm convinced we could lose every single game from now until 2020 and he'd still be here. I honestly believe as long as we are in profit, Ashley actually thinks its funny when we lose. I actually think the next 3 away from home are vital for Pardew. He needs at least one victory. We could easily lose all 3 however and if we do I think Ashley will be forced to sack him. We would be beyond rock bottom and his role will be completely untenable.

fwiw I still like nufc.com. Don't think they're in cahoots with the club like some people say. They continually question Ashley's policies although they do blow hot and cold with Pardew.

I think he'll walk if we get beat on saturday. It will be next to unbearable.

Ashley is the bigger problem, but the problem of Pardew has rightly been prioritised.

If not for contract situation Pardew would likely have kept playing him.
