  1. Back up versatile signing in a league that is his level. No drama
  2. So what if they've seen him hull today not exactly moons away.
  3. doubt Caulkin would have tweeted what he has without being certain of what is going on. Doesn't want to do a Simon Bird.

    Papiss Cissé

Like the two times his goals kept us in the league? He got 11 goals in 22 games (I think) in 2014-15. Imagine if we'd gone down under Carver minus his goals. We'd be f***ing screwed and without Benitez. Obviously he never hits the heights of his first half-season with us but he scored a lot of important goals after that. Right time for him to go, though. Spot on. The late goals v Fulham & Stoke kept us up.

    Defensively there's little difference.
  6. What is the going rate for a complete bottle job who's non performances were instrumental in relegating his team?
  7. why do you keep quoting 3mil and 5mil when the offer reported is 12?
  8. He's been utter s*** for the most part of his career here and if he can't motivate himself for us in the prem, then hows he gonna be in this division? Poison and mocks us on a frequent basis. I get the prices these days are inflated, but being realistic he's not worth more than 12 imo and we could get rid of the tosser and reinvest in someone who actually wants to play for Newcastle. If we can get 15 out of someone then ok but that's not guaranteed.
  9. So hes a french international. Jesus man he's been fucking woeful. Digging our heels isnt wise.
  10. 12 mil for Sissoko is absolutely realistic considering how much we paid for him and how rubbish he usually is. Take it and run i say
  11. We were the only ones willing to negotiate with Spurs and its thanks to us he got back into the England fold. He owes us gratitude at least and this is hardly a good way of showing it
  12. palace man. dear me.
  13. Agreed, not a fan at all. The stripes are to big, the gold looks out of place, and that back is an absolute abomination.
  14. Doesn't work like that anymore. Stature of club is way down the list, behind money and trophies and how close to London your training ground is. Thankfully we have a manager who, I'd imagine, is quite persuasive. Well we haven't won trophies in a while and we're not very close to London, yet we got an elite manager to join us and then stay with us in Championship. I don't think stature of the club (and ours is huge) is down on the list at all as long as it's pitched right. I'm not pointing the finger here but to many of our fans think far to small since Ashley got here. Despite being a largely comical club we have impressive pulling power, and I wouldn't expect that to end trying to tempt a player to join us from the smallest club in the Premier League.
  15. All time low if we can't convince a player to leave Bournemouth to come to Newcastle. Don't care if they're in the Premier League.
  16. Do you not think Wenger realises they need to mix it up a bit, and sign a player like Vardy? As mentioned, someone with aggression and edge who annoys defenders, everything Arsenal lack. People have twisted about Wenger's methods for years now and when he finally looks like buying someone who alters it somewhat he's still doing wrong. Aye but will he actually change his methods regardless of who he signs though ? I can't see Wenger even tweaking his philosophies to accommodate 1 player who's only had 1 exceptional season. i won't deny he's stubborn and any changes from him are a slow process. However there have been slight nuances lately, notably finally realising he needed a good keeper, and signing Xhaka signifies he's after someone to dominate the middle third. Arsenal do play a measured build up a lot of the time but we've all seen how they can break on teams when have the opportunity, imo Vardy will add to it. Also from Fleetwood to Arsenal is such a short duration, certainly can't blame him going.

  18. Can't blame him at all for going imo. It represents an astonishing rise in his career and at his age it's likely the last chance he'll get to play for a huge club. Maybe harsh on Leicester, but if you'd have told their fans they'll win the league but at the expense of their best players at the start of the season we know what the answer would have been.
  19. He wont fit into Arsenal's passing game. His game is built all around pace and counter attacking football. To spunk 20/22m on a soon to be 30 year old who I highly doubt would take them onto the next level & may not even get into the team doesn't make much sense to me when they've got a bottomless pit of money. As for Vardy, it depends on what he cares about more out of game time and ££. Not to mention that if he does go there, he'll no doubt be played as a winger where he's completely ineffective. He score's goals, he'll press the opposite defenders more than Giroud does, and if they really do have infinite funds, then why not? I'm sure Wenger will focus more on counter football if Vardy arrives, he's not daft.
  20. We have more strikers than last time when we played more often with 2 up front. And not one of them is the finished article. Not buying a goalscorer in January cost us.
  21. We need another striker. More games equals more injuries / suspensions and as much as Mitrovic has ability he isn't the answer for a full season down the Championship, at least not on his own, and thats not even thinking about his discipline. Plenty of games to help develop Armstrong if you include the cup games. Ayoze's form fluctuates and Cisse & Riviere have questionable mentality.
