Iv bitten the bullet on NX like. Gonna be a fuck about but planning on getting up early, getting a few pints in, hotel, then onto the match. Be a decent day, but if we win the town will be like nothing ever witnessed.

Aye, bonkers. Ploy to get more cash out of you it seems. Newcastle will be class just trying to get something sorted as I’m not sure how fast the pubs will fill up. Very is my guess.
-
I just rang for tickets for Shearers and they said they go out on the 24th and are to be picked up from the bar. Which makes it awkward for me to get up there on that day. And the event at NX wants you through the door by 1pm, even with a ticket, which has put me off quite a bit.

I absolutely love it. Been saying for years we need to develop a nasty side. In the Ashley era we had sides that barely knew how to win a sly free kick or eat a few seconds up. Weak as kittens. Opposition sense that and take advantage. With the finances we have now the shithousery is just another thing infuriating everyone. We’re not a weak touch anymore and they hate it.

There certainly is a geographical aspect to the attacks on the fans, and I find the tone of it can be quite nasty. Tariq Panja is another, comes across as a complete smarmy tosser who just plain despises us. I’d have more respect for them if they just came out and admitted they hate Newcastle. As I said above, the PL green lighted this. Not us, not Eddie Howe. They should be knocking on their door every day if they’re so incensed. This is a complicated issue, but going after the fans and the manager (in a frankly appalling manner) when they aren’t responsible for any of it, completely undermines their argument, and it’s clear it’s more personal when they choose to do this. Give any fan base in England a chance to shake hands with the devil, and they’ll do it. They can deny it till they’re blue in the face, but they’d do it. This is another thing that has astounded me since we were bought out, the total and utter denial other supporters seem to be swimming in. I have mocked City in years past and questioned the investment, but never criticised their fans for enjoying it. When Klopp leaves Liverpool who knows where we’ll be and who knows where they’ll go - and this is what is getting them lot down there all worked up. Everything they have fawned and gushed over in football since they started watching it - basically Liverpool and Man Utd mopping up - is starting to change. Maybe it’s our turn.

The gripe with Newcastle is very transparent because he doesn’t seem to focus on one particular point. First it’s the ownership, then it’s what’s we’ve spent (in a year), then it’s about Howe saying how we’ve spent it, then it’s about Howe answering the question on refs, and he then ludicrously defends the lack of investment by Ashley (on the thread). And tops it all with name calling. If it was about human rights, which it absolutely should be, then the other stuff wouldn’t be in the conversation, and he’d be going after the Premier League and Masters, but he’s picking apart every aspect of the club, and the defence of Ashley is where the mask slips right off.
-
Imagine getting that wound up by a club who’s defence cost less than Harry Maguire. He is one who has been tossing himself silly over Chelsea for years. He needs to look at where the introduction of questionable money into football started - with them. This mess began with them but they treated it like theatre. World class footballers winning titles in London, just how they like it. Their outrage it purely towards Newcastle. This is about the order being shaken, they hate the concept. Give us one f***ing league cup then the arseholes can have all the glory back.

I bought the new top in mikes (forgive me) and I really like the quality tbh. Perhaps I'm indoctrined to such crap shirts from years gone that any sort of improvement seems big to me, but imo it's a nice shirt.
-
The mere suggestion they'd refuse an ownership like ours, with its obvious issues, is utterly laughable. They'd be on cloud 9. Its very easy to say 'no' when it isn't your club. I do wonder that if our new owners replicated or even exceeded running Newcastle as badly as Ashley did, the cries about human rights would be as loud?

Music to my ears that interview. Actually having someone in who knows what he's doing.
-
No. That game was in our first season back up under Hughton. Lost 3-1 I think. The above game I don't remember, like all the thrashings they've given us.
-
I haven't seen any photo's. Just that deleted Castore clip. Looks to me as if they show just enough of the corner of the shirt to not show any sponsor. Granted that could be to hide a new sponsor but I don't think it is.
-
If Fun88 are announcing their giveaway winner on Sunday then that points to them still representing us. I think that picture of the snide effort will be very close to real thing. Also I don't remember reading even the faintest of rumour regarding sponsorship. Hope I'm wrong though.

He's deleted that tweet since.

We've well and truly broken this clown.

Rafa wasn't at Valencia when this match was played.
-
Rafa needs to go.. for the greater good. Because when he does we will sink into utter oblivion and thats the only way Ashley will ever leave.. when it starts hitting his pocket. And if Rafa did go I would hope the stadium does start to empty but i'm not confident. How much can people take of their club being pulled inside out and being constantly lied to? Everyone loves Rafa, he's connected the supporters and forever told us what most should already know, that Newcastle should be fighting at the right end of the table season in season out. But it's never ever ever going to happen whilst Ashley is about. Its needs to get extremely bad before it ever gets good again.
-
They were quite happy to beat us twice a season and only just survive, therefore sympathy is in short supply. Until they shake off this fixation of Newcastle they'll never be anything.
-
win 1500 quid if these stop up.... dont want it to happen.
-
I honestly think there's a chance he's doing it on purpose to try hurry the takeover along - we've been so wide open the last couple of games it almost has to be deliberate. how completely ridiculous.
-
He's falling for it. He's been falling for it all summer. Hasn't a clue.
-
I didn't mind Remy when he was here but if this is how far we are down the list then we are utterly desperate.
-
I know he arsed that up tonight and his politics game is extreme and can be distracting..... But honestly he can take as long as he wants to sort Newcastle out for me. We're never gonna get anyone as good for a long time. A very long time.

Wasn't it just that Ferguson was livid about him not playing? Don't think there were any financial penalties reported, if there were it must have cost us a fortune. I can only remember him starting against Pompey in the cup though I'm sure there must have been a couple of other games he did. Yeh we were struggling for goals and they loaned us an extremely promising striker. Glenn Roeder decided to never play him though. Ferguson publicly had a go at Roeder.
