  1. I think our stadium helped last time. Half the sides were intoxicated by it at kick off and by the time they'd got over it they were 2 or 3 down. Not sure it'll have the same effect this time, partly because I feel our fans won't be as up for it this time.
  2. imo it's more down to attitude than ability. He's clearly a good player but since Christmas when it's looked quite clear we're stuck around the bottom 3 he's been largely anonymous. He doesn't want to know and wants to play elsewhere, a toxic mindset for the situation we're in, even worse when its one of your better players with more responsibility.
  3. Strongly dislike him. He's not interested and gave up months ago. Not fit to wear the shirt.
  4. embarrassing. a terrible goal from one end of the pitch to the other.
  5. this all got far worse when Ashley bought the club; we weren't a s*** scared club when SBR was managing us - hell, even our s*** stain team under Souness, Roeder and Big Sam pre Ashley had more bottle than these f***ing cowards. Because even in those average days the club still had identity.
  6. I think it could be a bit of a hammering tbh. Certainly if we concede early.
  7. If we stop up and stays then it'll be amazing, but it's a case of when not if he and Ashley fall out. And judging by Ashley's pathetic comments recently it'll be quite soon.
  8. His interview is bizarre, he seems almost blasé about the possibility of us going down. Also all this is a little ill timed imo.
  9. He looked pretty crestfallen in his interview. Clearly knows how hard its gonna be to keep us in the league.
  10. Delighted he's here and hope he does well. The message he gives in that interview is quite clear. Forget Ashley, McClaren or next season or what could happen. All that matters is these ten games and everyone has to pull in the same direction, if that happens we've got a chance.

    Steve McClaren

Charnley is still McClaren's boss, regardless of his seat on the board. His board position means little if his job is under threat.

If he kept us up though he might stay. Him fucking off would be pretty clear if we went down.

The scenario we've got McClaren waiting for his dismissal whilst we somehow try to convince Benitez to be our manager is an interesting one. If we have that Berahino cash lying around just give that to him. tbf Rafa was on BTsport the other week and expressed his desire to return to work specifically in England. You just never know if the terms are good to him.

He's got the fans totally against him and his players have utterly stopped listening to him. Even if we don't have a replacement ready, he should still be gone. His presence around the place will be corrosive. Ridiculous this whole thing.

He should have been sacked straight after the game on Saturday.

They don't know what he'd do, but he might do things differently.

Would rather let Cathro have it for 10 games than Pearson. It would be a pathetic choice. If he kept us up he'd be there next season and it will exactly be the same. Small minded appointments get you the seasons they deserve. This club has been making shocking long term appointments since Robson left. These players need someone who can completely galvanise them. Appoint someone decent and off them a chance to leave if they don't keep us up, their choice. If they do, then he stays and tries to get us fighting up the right end of the table.
  18. Yeh, he really hasn't done much this season at all.
  19. Don't agree at all. Offside all day long. The argument is wether he was in line of Foster's vision. Pretty clear he was offside.
