So we made about a £30 million profit summer 2016 also. We literally haven't spent a penny of TV money for 2 full years? Daylight fucking robbery
-
Sadly Bruno's right. If we're not winning by 20 minutes theres going to be a lot of moaning and groaning.
-
Exactly, it's really disappointing that he's been bought off so easily. Anyone with any principles would say their honest opinions irrespective of being able to wear the crest ffs. It's people like him who we need on our side as they are in a position to influence people. Evidently Ashley realises this too.
-
How about we start taking up floor space in Sports direct for free advertising...Ashley Out / Sports Redirect posters all over the shop. He does it to the club so why not
-
https://ashleyout.com/finances/commercial-revenue/ About 25m per year according to that, for all commercial income combined. Plus that figure should be increasing year-on-year if the club was being ran properly. The amount he's taken for Sports Direct is probably equal to the clubs 'debt' to him, its a fucking joke.
-
Going by trustworthiness etc, its clear as day that he'll be taking more money out of the club than we realise. It's just a question of how much really. Anyway his loan has already been paid back in free advertising/merchandising alone. And then some.
-
Yep, I swear some people just can't comprehend that other factors can influence things.
-
Goal kick ffs
-
Stuck a tenner on us to win at 9-1 and its been paid out already Its too early to be battering them
-
Get the fuck in
-
I particularly like this bit: Committed to getting more propaganda out in the media...at least they're being honest about it now eh Also an admission that they can't be fucked doing anything with the academy:
-
I don't care about any of that, minimising their tax exposure, whatever. My problem is not that they're doing a lot of illegal things, but that they're doing a lot of things which simply are not in the interests of NUFC but instead set up to favour Sports Direct. Yep, lots of businesses might do things that are in their own interests, in our case its working against the clubs interests.
-
Nope. The price would be the price. If the club as a business is worth £300m and the debt is £150m, then his equity is worth £150m. If the club is worth £150m then his debt is worth £150m and his equity is worth zero If the club is worth £100m then his debt is only worth £100m and his equity has already been wiped out After 11 years of Ashley you should realise by now he doesn't operate like a normal person. It'll be added on to the price no doubt. As will the cost of removing Sports Direct adverts, or buying the club shop back amongst god knows what else.
-
That makes zero sense. Why would he need to loan the club money to outsource a function? Anyway, as said many times before, the 'debt' to Ashley is meaningless as a number. Surely if the football club owes him x that is added onto the sale price at negotiation time if a buyer ever comes forward though. Yep. Its as far from meaningless as possible ffs.
-
This is absolutely scandalous, actively skewing the figures to say "Hey, we're skint and not really making a massive profit" when the opposite is the case. Nothing less than you'd expect from these thieves though.
-
It's a dangerous notion to think he's stealing anything. You can't steal from yourself. I know we hold a view that our affinnity for the club confers some kind of moral ownership but the reality is this is his property. He's lied about 'every penny' and much of this is testament to this lie, but it's still not stealing. And when he sells, the next people will have the same rights to do as they wish. Ashley can take every spare penny out of the club and he is legally entitled do so. All fans can do is make life as uncomfortable as possible or better, when the time comes, push for some kind of element of ownership. The problem is not simply down to the nature of the owner but the nature of his ownership. Im using the term loosely (hence use of the word 'effectively'), as millions of what should be the clubs money is redirected away from the club, however it was entirely predictable his number one supporter would be along.
-
I wish someone would take a proper look into Sports Directs relationship with the club and work out how many millions they are effectively stealing from us. As well as how much Ashley has stolen through the likes of MASH investments etc. At a bare minimum it'd be what, 3-4 million a year through merchandise etc, 10-15 million a year advertising at a quick guess, then through MASH he's stolen valuable land from us. These are only some of the things that we know about too, theres going to be so much more thats been hidden. He's made a profit on the price he paid for the club just through thieving from it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if his grand plan is to keep taking from the club whilst running it into the ground, eventually selling a shell of a club that will take the next owner years if not decades to rebuild, causing more misery for fans as he fucking hates us.
-
Top class trolling from the club, fucking hell man
-
Its in the Sun already, would post a link but its the Sun.
-
Great work from everyone who went down there and great to see its getting to him.
-
This. Ashley plays on the fucking stupidity of our fans, and of course they never fail to deliver. It still shocks me how fucking shortsighted a huge proportion of our fanbase is. Im still of the belief that IQ level is directly linked to people who are fully aware of the circumstances for us being shit turning on Rafa. Would love to see a test on this tbh

What decisions did Benitez make in the transfer window exactly that he should be reconsidering. Do enlighten me. Jacob Murphy, total shite, and not given the chance to prove otherwise anyway, that's his most expensive signing and hes made zero impact in a season and a bit. Spending 10 million Muto and hes barely played a games worth of minutes, has also contributed nothing. Manquillo, I'm no scout but surely there was a younger, more hungry player someone across Europe to spend 5 million pounds on? If reports are to be believed he wanted to spend a combined 40 million on Rondon and Kenedy too, what a fuck up that would have been. Atsu, 6 million quids worth of shite, that's without mentioning the likes of Gamez and Lazaar who were seemingly brought in for the crack and cast off without being given a chance. That's the chance you take with transfers, but overall we've had more misses than hits from him. 10 million buys you fuck all nowadays in case you'd been alseep for the bast part of a decade.

What decisions did Benitez make in the transfer window exactly that he should be reconsidering. Do enlighten me. Murphy has been a terrible signing so far. Muto has not had the impact you want from him given the fact he cost more than our average net spend. Letting Mitro go instead of trying to gel a system around him (I was not a fan of Mitro at all but its clear that he has some impact at this level). Look man, Rafa as impeccable as he has been in coaching poor quality players so far, overall I don't find that he has been remarkably astute in the transfer market for us. This is working on the (wrong) assumption that Rafa knows what we spend on players, and has control. 5m for Muto? Do it. 12m? Too much. Our manager literally has no fucking idea whats going on. Probably puts 100 names forward each summer and has to see what shit lands. Start thinking ffs.

Anyone losing faith in Rafa...who would do better? The only problem is our fucking owner. And has been for 10 years now. But shortsighted muppets will be muppets...
